[HELP] Sims 3 Crash [+9REP]

I played Sims 3 about 4 months ago and stopped it because it always crashed. The brightness would change and then it would crash the computer taking me to the blue screen and a restart.

I came to play it again (with Ambitions expansion pack) and updated it to the latest and it still crashes the same way. I looked around and used this DEP method but that just made it crash the game (not computer) as soon as I was playing the game.

Does anyone have a solution to this? I use to save it like every 5 minutes but this is just annoying so please help

Oh my game was doing something similar to this, but not exactly the same. I would load up my family and everything and play for about 3 minutes and it would just cut off. But I got it fixed, let me google cause I don't remember exactly how I did it.

Have you done the 'data execution prevention' thing?

I know this thread's slightly old now, and you might have sorted it out... But, I did this, and it worked well, http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?...ion_Prevention

And if that doesn't work, just make sure all your settings are turned down as well, sim detail, etc, it actually doesn't make that much of a difference in game,but it does make a huge difference to performance !
