DS has touch screen which would cost more to make.
Also has an intergrated mic which would cost more to make.
What does psp have?
Buttons?
DS - £99.99
PSP - £179.99
Sorry Remin, but as much as I am a fan of the DS, you're talking utter rubbish.
The PSP is a far more expensive console to produce, in fact, they lose money on each unit sold, and games are £30-£40 because that's where Sony aim to make their money. Not to mention that it costs more to render games to work on more powerful consoles. The PSP is more expensive to make as it's basically a mini computer; it has a larger, LCD screen, and has digital buttons rather than analogue.
PSP games for £59.99? Pfft, I'll believe that when I see it. The "£60 for games" rumour is for next generation consoles, not this generation handhelds.
And Zak, there's no need to be rude... Plenty of people cannot afford such gizmos as PSPs.
couldnt of said it better myself.Quote:

and what does the DS have a touch screen and it can play games... WOW! (Not)
We also had a massive disscussion about this in school today with our teacher he actually said:
"...Yes nintendo has been around longer, but.. Sony have all the rights to the best games, they also make brilliant consoles, and now, all future movies are going to be coming out on UMD, The DS has nothing going for it except for a touch screen which is probably fun for what, 10 seconds, in my opinion Nintendo is going downhill and the DS in my opinion is a piece of ****..."
And everybody agree'd even the people who have a DS. I think now that they have both come out, we should wait for the sales stats to arrive after christmas to show which was more popular (PSP Obviously) The big disscussion now should be about the XBox 360 and the PS3 but i still would think that the PS3 would be better, becuase they seem to have rushed the xbox, sony are appearing to be the best company for consoles. ;)

PSP has, MP3 Player, MP4 Player, Game Player, Wireless internet, A variety of memory cards, BIGGER Variety of games, and you can now also buy albums and films for it. Can the DS do all that no!, Touch screen, Mic, Game Player, The Game gear is probably better than that.

I go in my local E-Play, I don't know if you have one around where you live but there good. I get my games for £25-£33, Shops like Game are very commercial, they know that they can sell these games for £40 pounds.
All of the games for the PSP near me are £30 - 34 i dont really think they will go up to £60 ¬_¬ the movies are £14 and albums are £10 - 12 i wont be buying my games from the shops often though because i find them i rip off, im going to be buying games / movies from america via the internet, because the games are £20 and films £10 and they will be out when the films have only just come out in the cinema and the games will come out quite a few months earlier
ds i love it
GAMe is the best around along with GameStation.
CoolSpot is good for fixing consoles
Soon PSP games will shoot up
Does the PSP get the user involved deeply into games like your actually there? No, but the DS does. Talking and touching gets you physically involved with the games you loveQuote:
