Just PG, not PG-13.
You're right, I found this Tom :P, couldn't VM, was too big.
Contains next week's spoilers
I just watched RAW since I was unable to last night on the ol Sky+ and holy crap that was amazing!
Punk is a god seriously! - Really looking forward to the overall outcome of this storyline/situation ^_^

love him i'll be gutted if dosen't come back =/ i stopped watching wrestling ages ago and only really got back into in december. CM Punk is up there with the Undertaker as my favourite. I liked the nexus idea but they way it was done i didnt really like. could have been alot better. Hopefully wins and leaves and means theres only one main title for both shows.
LOL Yes, CM Punk leaves the WWE with the WWE CHampionship leaving the former WCW Title as the only World belt in the company. Do you honestly believe that?
Alberto Del RIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO will win MITB, and cash in on Punk to fufil his destiny.... Thats my call.
Also, amazing promo from punk, he quite clearly is the best in the biz.
Cash it in on Cena*
Sadly I think most of the references Punk made went over people's heads. I doubt if most folks know who John Laurinaitis is.
You like WWE Tom? My love for you has just grown stronger.
Ya i didnt think of that lol. Still nothing to stop them ditching that belt, and if Punk did win the wee belt would be gone which i hate. New belt making 1 belt for both shows meaning there is only 1 "Top Dog" not 2.
Tbh when Punk leaves i'll stop watching. Unless Taker comes back but i see him only returning for WM28 and then calling it a day.
The WWE Championship will NEVER go away. It's the most prestigious title in the WWE by far. The WOrld Heavyweight Championship has nothing on it. If one title will ever go, it'll be the WHC.
Titles don't mean anything anymore, considering Ric Flair was a legend for holding it 16 times or so, yet John Cena is like a 9time champ and Orton an 8time or something silly.
I really hope Punk's speech was hinting at the end of all this super Cena and PG ****. Maybe not anytime soon, I know they're doing really well with his merchandise, but wrestling now has nothing on the attitude era.
People need to stop complaining about it. The PG rating doesn't affect the product nearly as much as you may think it does. And hell, people were still complaining just as much pre-2008. And those who say it shouldn't be so kid-friendly, well, what would you think if you were a kid?
And no matter what you think of Cena, the WWE Title has lineage, lineage that will never be erased.
I'm not really up to scratch with it but it was better in the old days, with the likes of JBL, he was great.
I don't mind the whole PG thing but would be better with a few more brutal matches and proper violent story lines. Love to see Kane go ruthless and stay that way. Also, WTF is up with Takers new entrance theme :/
It's his 'last outlaw' gimmick.
Wrestling isn't about chairs and tables. Watch CZW or BJPW if you want violence.
If people stop complaining, then nothing will be done about it. I want to see WWE be way out infront of its competitors, and at the moment I only watch it because I find TNA to be even worse. I was a kid when I started watching it, and thought it was awesome because of all the blood, fighting and feuds. Just being under the illusion it was all real was enough for me.
TLC matches are part of the "PG era".
Plenty of what you see in the UFC is staged. Not the fights, but all the build-up and talk is rubbish to sell tickets, but that's business.
TNA is TV-14 and you say it's worse? Firstly, yes, it is, but then WWE is PG and the product is far better. It's all down to the creative minds behind the shows, not the rating. Blood was WAY overused anyway. The times have changed and the Attiude Era wouldn't be what it was back then if it was brought back today. It's all been done before. You have to go with the times. The themes of the Attitude Era were a '90s thing, it wouldn't fly the same these days.
The atitude era wasn't all violence, the storylines were better, the heels were more... heel-ier, the twists and turns were there, creative wasn't stuck in a slump and it was just... entertaining. The wrestling was entertaining, the outcomes were entertaining, most of the promos were entertaining. That's entertaining, today's wrestling is far from entertaining barring some matches (discounting Monday night cos I cannot complain about the whole of that RAW).
One thing to remember is that htese days everyone reads the dirt sheets online and has taken a LOT away from wrestling. If people didn't, their views would dramatically change. Hell, I do it and used to write for Gerweck.net, but I'd really rather I didn't. The "magic" of wrestling has gone because of your own actions (and mine). That said, there's no accounting for the creative team because we really do not have the power to change that.
i remember i heard something about wwe
oyeah its fake and boring

I still call that CM Punk wins, and Rio cashes purley because the stipulation McMahon put for the match (On the pretayped next week raw)
The stipulation is (Dont look if you dont want it spoiled).......
If CMPunk Leaves with the Title Cena is fired, it sais nothing about Cena loosing the title.
It would make sence. The Drama of Cena loosing, thinking he is fired, then hit MrMcMahons Music with Del Rio behind him (Similar to how he brought out Batista to beat Cena for the title)
I think it makes perfect sense :)
Cena was already "fired" last year. I'm pretty sure Punk is definitely on the way out on July 17.
Cena was complaining about being overworked and he's also carrying a real injury so the probability that CM Punk will win is high. However, CM Punk was also claiming he's exhausted and in need of a rest so... make up your own mind. It's either CM Punk wins, Cena gets fired, MITB winner cashes in on Punk and he and Cena go on hiatus for a month or Punk wins, Cena gets fired, and Punk 'runs off' with the title for a month until Summerslam.
I don't know. If creative screw this up, however, I will kill myself. It's almost impossible to make this storyline boring.
I never said they weren't, you said they don't have a place in wrestling, but I think they do.
Again, people know that, we're not stupid. Everything's about making as much money as possible, so you have to expect them to make some drama to get it. The UFC is great because you know as soon as they step in the octagon anything can happen, and that's its USP to me, is it's unpredictability.
Also, I never said TNA being worse had anything to do with the rating, but at least we can agree on something. And yeah, everythings been done before, but it's always the same thing recently, building some fight up for Cena, maybe letting him get beaten up the weeks leading to the PPV, then he comes out on top at the PPV. It's boring. Tag that along with really unbelievable heels, the only exception being CM Punk for me, who actually is one of the few who does a really good job, and I just don't think WWE nowadays comes close to the attitude era.
I didn't say that tables and chairs, etc, don't have a place in wrestling, I said they weren't wrestling.
Was it just me or was Smackdown entertaining?

Watch this if you never watch anything ever again. Funniest thing I've seen in ages.
WARNING: DO NOT CLICK IF YOU'RE AUSTRALIAN.
Well, the ending to Raw could've been better but it's good to see Roid McRoidMahon back.
Not these days.
