Exactly, thats why you dont get involved with her like that until she has chosen.
:) Tell her she can't have both and she has to make a decision and if she doesn't your not interested. That way you'll know if she really wants you or not.

Like you said couple of posts above. You are interested, but act like your not until she gives you an answer. If she chooses her bf then move on but if she chooses you and dumps your mate then give it time before you start seeing her again so your mate wont get suspicious.
