What right do you have to judge? A personal life should be just that, personal. Coming out isn't an easy thing for most people, especially one in the public eye. If he wants to keep it private then I totally respect him for that.

Yes but your probably not as old as him, and he should of been mature enough to do that.
I respect the fact he didn't want to come, out by why try hide it?! Do you think he found out he was gay last week? No ofc not. He was probably gay all his life but was ignorant and decided to ignore it. Hes 44, surely he would of been mature enough to say "Hey, yes I tried to keep it secret, but now its out, I want to admit I am gay." No, he decided to try wriggle himself out of it by hiding it and paying his partner.
And the part about judging, everyone judges everyone, its natural. It may not be right, but everyone does.
I'm sure he was gay all of his life but people come out when they are ready, for some people it could be 18, for others it could be 44. But at the end of the day it's his choice. He didn't try to wriggle himself out of it once the Telegraph found out, I believe (I could be wrong) that they promised not to disclose his sexuality but he came out with it anyway.
I don't see a problem with him keeping his sexuality secret.
There is a big difference. To keep secret, is to admit it but not tell anyone, or a selected few people.
To who pretend they are not, try avoid it and ignore the fact they are attracted to the same gender and say to themselves "nope im not gay." when they clearly are.
Anyway, if you get told a secret and get told not to tell anyone, you dont pretend its not true? You just dont tell anyone?
