I'm pretty sure there are ways to be traced using skype, however i could be wrong.

I think if you really want to commit a crime using a mobile phone, you'd do it anywa.y

People can do that on expensive phones, seeing as SIMs are given away like hot cakes :P

Police can trace to the actual phone id, if you used an expensive phone you'd have to never use it again if you didn't want to get caught.
