I ate a donut that was 1 day expired and it tasted perfectly fine.
I eat stuff which is a couple of days out, it really depends on what the product is and as said before it is a good way of getting you to buy more. :P
I'll eat it if it looks and tastes alright, regardless of the date. (unless it's quickly perishable, like meat, milk etc.) It's not that I'm tight, I'm just not wasteful.
I eat stuff the day before it goes out of date. Gives me an excuse to be a pig even though I'd eat it if it was out of date
I throw it in the bin or I get my mum to taste it because i'm scared if i taste it i won't be able to taste the difference and i'll get food poisoning or some **** :l
The only thing which I follow the expiry date on is milk and eggs, thats it. A lot of things have so much preservatives anyway it'll last long after :L
I never eat anything that's out of date, even if it's only a day. Unless of course it's meat that has been frozen or something. Although I do eat bread that has passed its expiry date as long as there is no mold on it.
Sounds like a pretty wasteful lot, the only person I can forgive is the person who works in the kitchen as I had to do that as its regulations.
I will eat things over a week past their expiry date.
Things like bread and cheese I will just cut the mould out, eggs I keep in my fridge so I know they will last longer than on the box, milk I sniff first before I use. Canned goods don't really go off within reason.
