iMac dual screen

thats mini dvi on the left of the ethernet i believe :)

It's Mini-DisplayPort. Mini-DVI is old by Apple's standards and has an L shape connector inside, which his iMac doesn't have, I'm 99.99999999999999999999% certain it's Mini-DisplayPort.

i have the same one on my macbook pro o_o i thought it was mini dvi

Apple switch their ports around to make people buy new adapters every so often.

My old MacBook used Mini-DVI, then Apple moved to Mini-DisplayPort which is what this iMac ^^^ uses and now they've moved to ThunderBolt.

That's what I was told on MacRumours.

So I'm gathering this would do the trick?

This required me to purchase a new one to use my 24" external monitor with my 27" iMac - very annoying!
