Hey, I have a 27inch iMac and a 32inch Toshiba TV and I want to be able to use my TV as a dual screen for my iMac. I run Windows 7 on the Mac.
As far as I'm aware though, because there's no dvi port or something it's hard to do? If anyone can point me in the direction of a way to do it I'd be grateful.
I need help only so don't post if you don't know please

You'll need a mini dvi converter ...

That'll do the job, if your Toshiba TV takes VGA input that is. You'll also need a VGA cable.
Or you could get a Mini DVI to HDMI cable or anything tbh.
It's the one to the right of the ethernet.

Awesome, I'll try it. I remember being told on MacRumours that in order to dual screen I needed to buy some £100 device or something. I didn't believe it.

It's literally as simple as what myke said. It is like hooking up a projector or a monitor to any computer or Mac, just requires a cable (and a mini-dvi in the case of Macs).LEFT

How old is your iMac 27"? As far as I know they don't use mini DVI as Myke said.
Also Myke, my dad runs Windows 7 on his Mac, he likes the hardware but dislikes the OS...

The pic isn't clear, it's either mini DVI or mini Display Port (most likely)
EDIT: I'm pretty certain that's Mini DisplayPort, in which case you need a Mini DisplayPort to DVI or VGA adapter available for a rediculously high price over at http://store.apple.com/ukLast edited by Recursion; 04-07-2011 at 09:59 PM.
