No, I don't have hope. When I made my post I meant like everything will be gone one day so I don't see why I or anyone else should try to save the animals. Let nature take it's course. We are the dominant species at the moment. Let us kill animals. Nature will take it's course and kill us eventually. I mean come on it's not like the polar bear we know today will be here in a thousand years anyway.Quote:

I agree with undertaker I would like animals to be tested on for curing diseases and for any other reason.
The only reason I don't think they should test on animals is because I think they should do it on people on death row instead of senselessly killing them.
They don't try and save themslevs in the way we do. We are a far more superior race obviosuly. We can plea to each other but animals cannot do that, they can either run or try and fight back, and if they do fight back people say they are dangerous savage beings. When one species of animal 'sqaures up' to another they can obviosuly use there own language but thy cannot communcate with humans therefore they have almost 0% chance.Quote:

EDIT: Mary, you make a good and debatable point. But there are lwas, human rights for example. Plus should humans be tested? Is that wrong? I'm not really sure where i lie on this. It would never pass though no matter what and even if it did they would have to get said persons (whats the word? allowence?) anyway, they would have to get that first.

Well, the way I see it, I will never see the magnificent animals of the future nor the magnificent animals of the past. I will disappear one day and I as a human (species not personally) am beautiful and I will disappear too like every other animal. My point is my kids may never see some things but neither shall I. On your first point, yes everything shoul live as long as possible but that simply isn't the case in this world so let us do what we do.
And I do not beleive in donating my body to science especially the Heart or Brain as I beleive they contain the human soul and removing them from eachother would kill you after death. If that makes any sense!
i believe in conserving these endangered species.
there was a campaign held in my school just yesterday. there were displays of animals (fake ones) being illegally transported from one place to another.
the snakes were stuffed into socks. monkeys and birds are placed in metal pipes to avoid movement, and lions and bears are placed in small, cramped cages or in boxes.
usually, when these animals reach their destination, they are already dead or in critical (?) condition.
it's quite sad actually. i'm doing a campaign too with a few other schoolmates of mine to raise funds for the world wildlife fund (wwf).

As far as you brain and soul theory, fair enough. But surely helping the rest of mankind is more important? By donating your body to science they could find cures for diseases.
