First you should know that the land was not 100% Palestinian when it was owned by Palestine. There were a lot of Jewish people there.
ONE of the reasons the land was given to the Israelis was because of the Holocaust. We all know that.
I may be repeating myself, but it is true, you cannot just jump to a certain date, stop there, and point that the land belongs to a certain group. It goes back a long time.
The Holocaust had nothing to do with the Palestinians though, and yeah there were Jews living there but there were Jews in most of Europe and North America too, if them living there is reason to give them the country then why not give them Croatia or somewhere like that? I'm sure it had nothing to do with gaining a Western ally in the East...
American-indians lived in America first so why doesn't George Bush give them their land back and move to mcdonalds in ireland or w.e. americans came from?

They have slowly been eating away at the Arab's lands for years and years on end. Gaza is a TINY place, and is the largest open air prison. Of course the Hamas (who were ELECTED, as they are the voice of the people) live amongst the people, (it's that small). Everything is controlled by the israelies, their water, imports, electricity, everything! You would be pissed off too! It isn't right that the Gaza people have to suffer.
Today the Israelies bombed a UN-run school. A UN-RUN SCHOOL. The Israelies wouldn't be ablem to do this in any way if they weren't aided by the USA so much.
I'm not anti-jew but I think the way israel was created and it's illegal expansion is disgusting. Of course rocket fire is not a good way to try to solve anything, but if the INTNTL community can't find a way for the two states to live in peace, then that's terrible.

Personally.. if there are 32 Hamas people inside of a school, shooting missiles out at us.. and 10 kids are killed.. I'm not going to feel as bad about it.

Israel has been getting bombed, or mistreated or however you want to call it, for a great amount of time now..and it's about damn time they fought back. Yes the land was given to Jews by the UN..get over it. Move on with your life, and stick with whats happening NOW. America did the same with the indians, and people seem to ignore that fact. Great Britain used to have an expansion over the entire world, but nobody complained unless it happened to your country. But no, you only feel that Israel doesn't deserve it's land because it was given to us by the UN? I've got some news for you guys, that land would have become Israel whether it would be by force or not. There would have been a much greater war if that hadn't happened. Not to mention that the land was ORIGINALLY for Jew's, yes because of the history.

To be fair I think most of you may as well leave the topic and you're simply ****-stirring as you have no idea of history from the past century, specifically the relations between the UK & US with Israel since WWI. Some of you think that the US supporting Israel is recent? It goes back much longer than that.
I have no feeling for Israel at all and I've been supportive of Hamas for a while now but I do feel the air-strike of the school was Hamas's fault and not Israel's for once. It hasn't been looked at this way as it's easy to blame Israel for killing innocent children but Hamas knew their activists were going to be killed by Israel, the deliberately put them in a school to either deter Israel or to put shame on Israel (And it does seem to of worked) but I think it's quite clear Hamas deserve the blame here, they simply should not of go in the school, they're the one's who are sacrificing children.
Above: Please leave Atom bombs out of this, you'll be lucky-enough to never see any within your lifetime and the rest of the world would be left with no choice but to either wipe-out Israel or invade it if they dropped an Atom bomb on Gaza, bare in mind Gaza is still part of Israel and isn't a country and although they're killing people in Gaza, they're not wiping it out.

Put in a large town in Gaza such as Jibaliya and choose Hybrid mode then a bomb, although this is just a 'fun' resource, it's quite simple to see they'd hit their own country and potentially Egypt (Which would force an Arab attack on Israel).

But tell me this, why is Hamas putting their money into building bombs and not bomb shelters for their people. Israel has built bomb shelters because for the past EIGHT YEARS, the Palestinian government has been shooting bombs and qassam rockets and catushas (spelling?) at Israel. Israel MUST defend itself.
