Lol, nForce 680i isn't a motherboard it's a chipset.
Printable View
Indeed it is both, the nforce 680i is the name of the chipset and the mobo.
http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=+nForce+680i&hl=en
Obviously there are different company's which brand the mobo, but thats just branding.
I see where your coming at though N!ck, like the P5Q Deluxe is the motherboard and the chipset is the Intel P45. But nVidia Always name there chipsets and the mobo together.
I was quite happy actually, when my Gigabyte board died I was talking to Novatech and they strongly advised me against the 680i based motherboards, which actually was £30 more expensive than the P5K I bought from them.
No it's not. ASUS, XFX and EVGA are all manufactures of motherboards on that list. They made the board themselves and used a 680i chipset on it. It's the same with Intel and nVidia, they make the chipset that goes on the boards make by another manufacturer (Intel do make a couple of their own boards, but they don't just call it after the chipset, they have proper model numbers).

Okay Dell are weird... Didn't they give you 64-bit Vista if you have 4GB RAM?
I wanted 32bit cause my HD Cap Card is only works with 32bit.
Dont really know much about graphics and that. My laptops 2 years old. The screen is cracked so its used as a desktop PC lol =]Quote:

What's the point in 120GB to 250GB? You may as well so it properly and get a 500GB drive in there. What do you need the space for on a laptop anyway? I'm probably going to be using 50GB or less out of 160GB on this MacBook for it's life time as I do all of my storage on my desktop. The only reason I'd ever upgrade the HDD in a laptop would be for performance, which is why I'd get a 7200rpm 500GB drive.
I want to store photos, music and video on it because I'm sad enough to take my laptop with me when I go on holiday. What I would like is something that keeps my computer and Mac's music collection in sync but thats a pain in the ass :/
Also, I have STEAM under XP on Bootcamp and thats like 40GB.

Just finished building it a couple of hours ago. In the boiling heat, suprised my sweat didn't make it short circuit when I turned it on.

The only thing I think lets my computer down is my RAM which is why my brother has already bought me 2GB Corsair Dominator DDR2, only about 30 quid.
Im actually surprised that my CPU has the lowest score because its running perfectly, but the E7400 is really overclockable anyway so I will buy a new CPU heatsink + fan and overclock if it gives me any troubles :D
Not bad, and I'm hoping to overclock some more, soon..Quote:
