this guy knows what hes on about. remember when we bought heaps of olive green pillars and they are still pretty high compared to what they were <3
good luck with it. aloes is the only one I would be bothered about.

Haha, this is an awesome idea.
Obtaining them all though.. that's gonna be difficult methinks.
It's gonna be a tough journey, my friend. But anyway do wish you luck in this 'experiment'. :)
I really don't wanna buy club sofas even if they are expensive or cheap. 'Cos I don't really like them anymore. :( And theres really a lot of it. It's beyond our imagination.
It'll fail because of the fact there are way more than you think and that you've told people about it. Though thanks for posting as I never knew of that graph before :L.
Selling my club sofas, 50c per :)
On a note, it is possible with the rarer items, right before the merge I did a similiar thing with Green Parasols and managed to get them from about 4 HC to a Throne each... (Thrones might have been 40-60HC back then?).
I have one or two aloe veras. How rare are they, does anyone know? There is 10 in marketplace at the moment so seemingly not that rare.
I like how a lot of people saying this will 'fail' or is impossible. He didn't say that he is going to raise the prices to what they were, he simply said he wanted to raise them. He is not the only person hoarding HC Sofas. I'm sure he understood how long it would take and how many coins it would cost.
Show a fellow Habbox user some love and wish him luck instead of telling how much of a failure the idea is.
I +1 the idea and hope you do pull it off. Goodluck man!
All I'm doing is trying to bring some realism to the situation. I will say it again, the Club Sofa value is not going to go through a dramatic price change any time soon. However, I did say that he could do well with the Aloe Veras - although obviously this depends on his budget for this project (if you want to call it that). But yeah, I stand by my initial point that he would be better off spending his credits collecting an item which is already a little rare, and not the Club Sofa which is one of the most traded items with the current graph showing ~1000 of them traded each month through the mp alone.
HC sofas and blue pillows is a complete waste of time. Aloes might work. Did this with gnellies before the merge on AU and it worked out really well.
On the UK hotel they were released way, way back in the day. So not only were there low sales, but the amount still left in circulation would be pretty low. In the US and Canada they weren't released into the catalogue, so the large majority probably come from AU and SG where they were released. How much they sold, I don't know, and I couldn't really guess. I don't know how populated those two hotels were... But personally, I'd say they're some of the rarest classic rares out there...
Hmm idk really. There always seems to be aloes in the marketplace and they're not usually too hard to find, although that will begin to change if AussieGambler continue to buy them all up. I can see what you mean though, classic rares like the nellies and parasols seem much more common than these.
Tbh, In SG Hotel, there aren't really many thrones as I see from the other hotels, but we do have quite some number of director chairs... and a lot a lot of monoliths, marquees, exceptionally loads of hcs, quite a lot of aloes, (icms we have little, so do fans, so they are kinda expensive in our hotel).
And the petal patches are quite abundant, with the snow patches, and not to mention our pillows... way too many esp blue pillows, i remembered they are given out for free or sold cheap for a certain campaign or so... i cant really remember.

But our furni tend to be more ex. as compared to the other hotels.
I'd chip in actually on what I said previously concerning telling members of the public, sometimes this can have a positive effect in that a runaway in the value starts - we saw this in the earlier years with the Strobe Solarium and the Russian Samovar/Holopod - of course a runaway rise usually has a short life span but sometimes can keep the rare higher than it was originally, ie the Strobe Solarium virtually collapsed but I don't recall it ever settling back down to its original undervalued price.
It all depends on circumstances really.
currently no aloe veras in marketplace. but op hasn't been on habbo for a few days so not sure if it's related.
I checked earlier and there was 8 offers, and right now there's 3 although the cheapest offer is 49c. It could be that someone else is also making a collection :P?

OP has 88 (I think (A)) Aloes atm.
Yeah when I looked other day average was 22c and now it's 24c. Could be coincidence of course.

you clearly dont know trade buddy, the people who know what the marketplace average is also know that it can be tampered with, also with a very minimal demand for the furni, only a moron will think of buying it.
anyways good luck with aloes, although still doubt that it would be worth the effort
Actually, people do respond to marketplace 'manipulation'. Recent examples:
- Aqua Ice Cream Machine
- Orange Tree
- Jade Laser Portal
However, I do agree that it wouldn't really work on Club Sofas. If OP collected 1000 of them and they rose to 20c, as soon as he sells 50-100 of them, people could start reselling them and suddenly there's loads available again pushing the price down, and so he makes nothing on the other 900. Just a possibility :P.
Club sofas will be hard to shift about, but i'd like to see their price rise to be honest. Aloes are hard to find at the moment anyway so you'll probably do well with those and i'd like to see blue pillows rise aswell. Good luck like.
Of course, there's no evidence that anyone other than himself has been buying above the average. But I would expect aloes to change, so it wouldn't surprise me if they've gone up by a small margin. If he sold them, he'd only make 88 credits profit due to the marketplace tax, so not worth it really, needs them to go up a ton more, hopefully they will :)
The price of the Aloe Vera in the market place is now 24c which is 4c under the average price and there's ten of them in there.
What goes up must come down!
Has anyone enquired how many aloes are still in circulation?
I probably have 25-30 scattered on different accounts, and am not ready to part with them. I probably have a similar number of samovars and imagine there are a lot less samovars in circulation than there are club sofas.
It would be interesting to know the numbers.
Would like to see how he's doing on the blue pillow and aloe counts now tbh!
lmao I definitely agree with karter about the hc sofas though, i'm sorry but even if you owned about 90% of hc sofas you will still barely manage anything because they are just so ugly and hideous and people don't really want them that much anymore anyway, and they are accustomed to them being worthless now

That's his room with his aloes and pillows, which has been the same for a few days though as he hasn't logged in since 4 days ago :P.
Also, I noticed that the average value of the Aloe has been rigged up:
http://i40.tinypic.com/1kay9.jpg
LOL yea, I have 4 myself so I'm not complaining :P.
Possibly :P. But the graph shows someone bought one at 70c (or at least that was the average trade value yesterday anyway), but the average only went up by 4c to 28c. It would take constant rigging if the person wanted an average of 70c and they were putting it in at 70c every day.
