People need to give ref's a break. Yes they always make stupid decisions at times, but there human errors, and the Premier League is one of the fastest paced football leagues in the world, if not then faster. When I went to the Villa vs City game, the lineman was far back from the players on both teams especially Villa because of the speed they have. He made loads of wrong offside decisions because of this which was annoying for both sides, but it wasn't easy for him to keep up with them which was a bit unfortunate I guess.
I guess we'll just have to carry on with these bad decisions because there is no way we can realistically change what has happened in the past, and we can't exactly use video technology as this would mean it needs to be implied to all football games throughout the world, which will be very costly and difficult to get around. Being a ref is one of the toughest jobs on a football pitch because they need to be able to keep up with players constantly with hardly any break, and be on alert at all times making the right decisions. Also they have thousands of fans pressure on their backs like us which hardly helps.
