*Help* i want to be a PE teacher...

My friend did one (a btec) and is going on to study at uni now to be a PE teacher so you can do it would btec i think in sport science but from what she said it was a very wide course like they did ICT relating to it and other things like that so you really do have a wide and good knowledge of the subjects area, better than people who just do it at A level in my opinion.

Finally someone on this thread with a clue what they're talking about. I was going to post exactly this pretty much. However, be warned: P.E. is an extremely popular subject to teach, and places on PGCE courses and GTPs for P.E. are extremely competitive and they only take on the very best. This means a high degree classification and plenty of experience working with children. I'm applying for PGCE History courses next month and I face exactly the same problem as history is a popular subject.
