It does sounds like a very good idea and I'm guessing it would work the same way as quoting someone? If so then I'm pretty sure that it will be very useful for people and if it becomes annoying just disable it, simples.
Since Scott has replied and thinks this would be a good addition, he and I will look into getting this added for a Sunday update soon, awesome suggestion Bethie :)

It could perhaps be more advanced and notify users, but if you just wanted a link to profile tag - that already exists.
