Yeah I agree with this, on certain sites where you gain points to claim prizes they usually have some low value rewards so you know that your points are at least worth something. Having to get to 1500 just to have them worth something seems a tad extreme.Quote:

To those opposing the word count part of it, I don't think long posts will be an issue at all - someone would need to post over 500 words in one post for it to get the same amount of tokens as 2 posts of "ye lol"

Make it so 3 days vip is more expensive to buy (e.g if i wanted to buy it 10x) to make 30 days. It would be more expensive than 1 month VIP

Seems like an interesting idea, it'll spur newer members on more than older ones like me - the days of me racing to hit certain posting targets are long over. :P So absolutely, this to me seems a much better idea of having people create longer more detailed threads/posts than the hated idea of limiting what kind if posts/threads go towards your post count.
As for what Ross mentioned, hm it depends. Although I might sometimes do longer posts, you have to bare in mind that people who do longer posts will usually post less than those who do shorter posts - meaning there would be little difference.
I'm interested to see it in action anywho.
On one of the points system if i remember you could mess with other peoples stuff for creds, e.g I could remove @Chris; avatar for 200 points etc... seemed cool. not that it'd work on this forum

Ahh, small idea. We have the special VIP colours, perhaps you could add extras, like shadow, sparkles for an extra 1000t or something?

Also do we really need the tokens in the postbit. It's not like I walk around a city with a number displaying how much money is in my wallet.
I think for say like 1000t/2000t it'd be cool if you could buy a fortnight/month worth of the old limited edition donators - the ones that were released for three days every month
