The chances of getting something good is

1/20 If you just kill brothers
1/10 If you kill around 100 things
1/5 Jagex set a random number of kills [So I'm told] To give a better chance..

Dunno if last one is truth.. lol Someone just said that to me =P

last time i went i killed 2 brothers and tons of other creatures and all i got was bolt racks lol so i think its just luck really but i heard to get the armour or weapons u must kill at least 1 brother

It's Pure Luck =P

But the more chance is the more Brothers [6] Monsters [Unlimited] You Kill lol
