he sold 2 million copies on the re-sell, the original racked in 101 million i think :S
he got no where near, so yeah it is a good point actually.

Definitely yeah I'm not saying that he wouldn't have done better without the bad press and lack of effort put in, but to call the album a failure is just absurd.
I wouldn't say it's a failure - but it's below his standard even though sales have dropped dramatically, and the fact that it is a re-release could be considered to play a part but as it was released so long ago there is a whole new audience of buyers who could have actually bought it.
Since we have to carry it on okay.
Didnt you say sales were important and what made the artist? well thats what you said when we had a disagreement about Beyonce & Leona.
Then again this is special because hes 'MICHEAL JACKSON'.. Lol? He didnt sell anywhere near, and if people didnt know him as a the things he's been accused of it would have sold much better, and the fact he didnt even promote is terriable.
An oh shh please, I cant carry this on anymore, you tend to argue about anything. So I'm close minded because Micheal Jackson is a freak and messed around with little kids? He will be remembered its not something you bypass just like R. Kelly will be. Alot of people think hes a freak, and he will be branded as one.
Yes, his lawyers told him to just settle the matter outside of court, but this time he had a case - and he won, which a lot of people seem to forget.
And my point is that there was hardly any evidence against MJ, just the stupid documentary Martin Bashir made maybe. In R Kellys case there was a tape, where even the jurors agreed it was him.
And Thriller 25 wasn't even expected to do that well, so over 2million copies sold is a great achievement, especially seeing as its a 25-year old re-release. Of course it's not going to be as good as Thriller - it was the biggest selling album of all time..
Re-release has sold: 1,977,000 according to several trustworthy music analytical sites.
Again, do you not read? Sales are important and you just said that the original sold 101 million copies, go figure...That was an idiotic remark to make. Michael Jackson is one of the biggest legends in the the music industry, how many times do I have to stress that? His haters even know it, it's factual. Perhaps he didn't sell anywhere near but you don't always sell as much when the peak of your career has passed...He didn't need to promote as much. HE IS MICHAEL JACKSON. What the hell do you not understand? LOL, I mean seriously - for gods sake!
You can't carry this on anymore because the majority of the points you make are either invalid or unjustifiable. You're close minded for saying that that's what he'll always be remembered as, and not for his hugely successful music career, yeah. Branded as a paedophile or not branded as one, he was, has been and always will be the legend he is.
