She'l do it for free tho :(
Are you incinuating that we were little more than a ring of +reppers? :o how very rude. Ignore the fact that people suddenly got much higher rep powers when we started liking them, that was coincidence a'iiiight
Copyright on the images. I'm fairly sure it's ok to get away with simply doing a disclaimer of credit to Sulake/Habbo, and as there's no Habbo imagery being used in VIP I think it'll be fine to keep going regardless of these threats, but if Sierk's getting legal advice it's best to wait for that
You could just do a donating system what would work as such:
A ''Special Thankyou Award'' in which when a user donates a certain amount of money from the vip price, to what ever more they wish to donate, and the special thankyou award, basically gives users what VIP had offered.
Its gone on for years with lots of different people as you know (i have never pointless repped ;) lol) :) the only time i see rep as an issue is if people are using it to abuse or bully people.
habbo has said offering rewards for any donations is not allowed so that wont get through the net im afraid.
OK IVE GOT IT
make a new site where people can pay for their name to go in a draw, with 100% win rate. they win a vip features on habboxfoum.
I dont know if this has been said but I cant rly be bothered to read through 25 pages lmao so anyway ill say it nyway...
Isnt Habbo rly breaking their own rules... We have to pay for their vip service (habbo club) however they are like a multi-millionaire company however a fansite cannot sell vip who blatently are no millionairs....
I know Habbo isnt rly a fansite for Habbo but still they are breaking their own rules
And tbh its our own choice whether or not we buy VIP... we r not forced to buy it therefore its our own choice...
I just think they should become unofficial and then continue vip as I would imagine it costs quite a bit of money to keep habbox running per month...
I would just love to see how many forums still continue to sell vip servvice
Well, then, it looks like we'll have to meet up somewhere and all chip in to keep Habbox alive.

or w.e it is.
but they thought it would be a good idea to bring flats to show where their from.
Maybe the VIP could be a subscription to a monthly newsletter costing £1, and with it you get a cool coloured name on the forum to show you brought it and some cool extras?
I noticed this yesterday too and thought, don't most fansites offer VIP? :S
I don't see the point really, it's not like you ever hear of people being scammed when buying VIP is it? And with respect, I wouldn't have thought it was any of Sulake's business as long as there's no furni/cedits being sold for money.
I think the idea of "donate" and get "free VIP" is the best idea. Although Sulake will probably disallow this also seeing as they can make up whatever rules they like .
Nice idea :). This paragraph just needs some editing though:
Once I get my fansite started I'll be contacting "TAKE-A-STAND" ;).Quote:
A big company such as Sulake can afford its over heads where as a fansite run by the people that enjoy your game and pay for items/credits/etc which provides your company's revenue can not.

I think it will reduce the amount of pointless fansites aswell, as Habbox, who are big can find smart ways around this.
Yeah mate :P
What everyone has realised, Sulake are just being evil. So what we do is go to your local swimming pool, wear an afro, stand next to the steps and go closed due to AIDs. People will listen that way.
On serious note, other people's idea like the raffle and charity is a good idea.
Personally, I feel quite outraged to this rule set by Sulake. Habbo fansites are a place where the Habbo fanbase usually socializes, and discuss about Habbo, which then brings them profit. I can't comprehend how they are worried that a little fansite will affect their business. Although it may take away some of the money that Habbos spend on Habbo itself, in the long run, due to the active community present in these forums, this will thus result in spending more time on Habbo and therefore bringing in them more profit through credit purchasal.
I think a strongly worded letter should be sent to Sulake to explain to them the current situation for them to empathize that fansites require the existence of such services to survive, and thus contribute to the Habbo community. So what if a fansite makes profit, it is like a way to thank them for their hard work. It is no scam. I pay for VIP. I am fully aware of the extras I will get, and I willingly pay them money. It is a win-win-win (TRIPLE :P) solution. I get the extras, Habbox gets the money, Habbo gets the money (through the existence of fansites).
I feel that the competition thing is a good idea, however, upon knowing so, probably Habbo may set another rule, no competitions that require an entry fee, or no competitions at all! This may even severly affect the situation.
Hopefully Sulake will understand the need for this premium services and realise it is a win-win solution.
I doubt they'll allow you to purchase a newsletter when you can't even purchase VIP :P But that is one loop hole around the rule, but it may come under a "premium service."
I really doubt a Habbo petition is going to solve anything. If anything, your site will closed down for spamming.
I really would like to know what the point is behind this rule. It can't be because Habbo/Sulake dislike the fact fansites are making money through their service, because I am very sure Habbo/Sulake are not that thick to realise that fansite members will start paying for credits once the premium services are cancelled. And I am very certain they realise that fansites, including forums in the fansites, need some money to survive and maintain services. There seems to be no good reason for this rule, other than anti-competitive reasons, which shows a business' weakness and suggests they are possibly losing money in some way, shape or form.
The rule states you cannot charge for premium services. That means no vip, no entry to competitions, no paid mailshot/newsletter, etc The only way to do it is if there is a totally seperate website that has nothing to do with Habbo(x) that provides a service that you pay for but you know Habbo will get pathetic and just set new rules about linking to sites that offer paid premium services.
Habbo petition wont be closed down its not spamming. At least im trying to stand up to it.
worst comes to worst, hxf closes down and we all migrate to xbox live
Then just email them discussing problems, you have more chance of getting through to them than just aload of spam emails which they won't bother answering. 1 email means more of chance of a reply. They won't reply to every email they get sent from the petition site, unless you're the sort of person who goes through pages and pages of emails in your spam folder reading each and everyone, then replying to them all :P
Plus linking to another site for VIP services won't work, HabboxForum is a Habbo fanforum. Unless you're suggesting linking to another site that sells the premium services for HabboxForum, but that will still mean you're paying for premium services on a Habbo Fansite :P The rule states premium services for a Habbo fansite, NOT premium services by internal means only. They generalised, to cover all areas of buying premium services, so an external source cannot be used.
...Or just turn Habbox Forum into a general teen forum and not focusing on Habbo?
If Habbox need it that much why dont they come unofficial so they get to keep vip, just the same tbh less noobs coming on.
