Personally, I feel quite outraged to this rule set by Sulake. Habbo fansites are a place where the Habbo fanbase usually socializes, and discuss about Habbo, which then brings them profit. I can't comprehend how they are worried that a little fansite will affect their business. Although it may take away some of the money that Habbos spend on Habbo itself, in the long run, due to the active community present in these forums, this will thus result in spending more time on Habbo and therefore bringing in them more profit through credit purchasal.
I think a strongly worded letter should be sent to Sulake to explain to them the current situation for them to empathize that fansites require the existence of such services to survive, and thus contribute to the Habbo community. So what if a fansite makes profit, it is like a way to thank them for their hard work. It is no scam. I pay for VIP. I am fully aware of the extras I will get, and I willingly pay them money. It is a win-win-win (TRIPLE) solution. I get the extras, Habbox gets the money, Habbo gets the money (through the existence of fansites).
I feel that the competition thing is a good idea, however, upon knowing so, probably Habbo may set another rule, no competitions that require an entry fee, or no competitions at all! This may even severly affect the situation.
Hopefully Sulake will understand the need for this premium services and realise it is a win-win solution.
