Yeah, because of the new expansion pack, got it yesterday.
Took my PC about an hour and a half.
EDIT: And since you can't read the news on the start page, all the world servers will be down 17:00 to 19:00 GMT tonight.
Hmmm.... I want to get FFXI, but is it worth it? I'm trying to decide between this and WoW.
And if I do get it, should I buy it on PS2 or PC?
If you do get it, get it on PC.
Or Xbox 360 if you have one, it got released on the 360 yesterday too.

My friend, Matthew has, WoW and he's a Level 48 and he's bored out of his ever loving mind. He told me never to buy WoW. Lol. So I advise FFXI. = )
Yep get FFXI.
That update took a while for me to do as well, tis annoying.
Anyway, the new areas for the expansion are amazing though, so well worth it.
