I listen to music to relax me :)
The term "calm down" doesn't usually apply to me because I'm generally not a hot-headed person, but if I need to change my mood to something more upbeat just stick some psytrance on and have a full on mental dance, pretty much always does the trick
Probably have a moan about it to somebody you trust and tell them it's just a rant to get it off your chest. It helps me.
Talk to people about it on HxF or listen to sad music
sleeping, **** or music tends suffice positive mood changes :)

Especially stuff I can relate to.
Although if I'm angry, I start to hit things, I know I shouldn't but yeah
i usually go somewhere by myself and think it through or listen to music to calm me down :P
