well 1000 calories is exactly half of what a male should consume in a day.. so yes...
If you're not 'burning' more calories than you eat, you're not going to lose weight, no matter how little of them you take in.
I have no idea about all this calories **** and never took a single notice of it ever.
I've found lately eating a bowl of cereal when i'm hungry as been helping me lose weight.
In most occasions, low calories = low content of everything else. But this isn't always the case...
I read in an article, quite recently, that on average, 1 slice of bread - contains more salt than a bag of crisps : L Make you think twice about bread again. Also, a study was recently 'finished' in which scientists discovered that exercising and being more fit, will help you lose more weight, than changing your diet.
Also, on most diets - dramatically reducing calories does work for a few weeks, but then your body gets used to it, so the rate you lose weight slows down meaning it's not a long term solution, especially considering most people regain their weight after a diet, or have a 'weight rebound'.
So, although calories , salt, fat etc. is important - it doesn't necessarily mean the best solution (some salads have 50% of your salt intake) - the best solution for losing weight.. is exercising (as much as you may hate it - it's usually the best solution) .
thank you! really informative :)
White Bread is the leading cause of Obesity in America and the UK - just going back to Wazz's comment there.
Regarding to the 1,000 Calories, its not reccomended to eat that low. - Anything below 1k calories a day will send your body into starvation mode.
