so ive liked this girl a while, and like my mates suck at keeping secrets and everyone knew.. then it went round she likes me too, and was gunna ask me out monday.. [the one just gone] and nothing happened but we did the usual, meet in morning hug n stuff... and she comes on msn today and goes.

Although your mates might have let the cat out the bag, it's allowed things just to be out in the open and it's allowed her to know you do actually like her, therefore she's felt shes able to come out and tell you aswell that she has feelings for you - would you rather asking her out without knowing whether she did in fact like you or not?! :o :s
I say tomorrow, you just need to tell her you don't understand. If you both like each other, then whats the problem? Ask her why she thinks it's not working out...
