It's an awful ground... it's in the middle of an industrial estate and it's got no atmosphere at all (bar the away end ;)). Their fans are the typical 'happy clappers' lot.Quote:

There ground is much like st marys, a concrete bowl with no atmosphere. Then again we have the delight of going to places like exeter next year, id much rather be in your position haha!
I can't really remember Southampton. I just remember that the fans were right next to each other in the corner and it all kicked off. They were chucking ******* bottles at us. I'm sure the Cardiff fans can create an atmosphere. I wouldn't mind going to Exeter, I haven't been there.Quote:

They also think they're "Super Leeds" which never fails to amuse me.

Shows how much you know about football. I've been to Elland Road and the stadium is crap. The atmosphere was absolutely dreadful. Leeds are over-rated. They deserve to be where they are like any other club. They spent money and it didn't work. They didn't get 15 points for nothing, did they? That cheating **** Ken Bates did it to them. If they didn't have them 15 points they wouldn't have even made the play-offs. The 15 points give them an incentive to go out and attack. Teams can live with 15 point deductions. Look at Bournemouth they were down and out until they started getting them wins. If they had played any other team, they would have stayed up. Bournemouth had no money, no anything. Leeds have.Quote:

Elland Road is over-rated. It's big and it's got character, but it's cramped and in need of some major TLC. Add to the fact that it is usually occupied by the knuckle-dragging neanderthals known as Leeds United fans and you can see why it's a ****hole.

Keepmoat is a great stadium but may need expanding in the near future. It's in a great location, yes in the suburbs and yes, partly in an industrial estate but so is the biggest stadium in the UK. It's next to a shopping centre and a great man-made lake which is picturesque so yeah - how you can say it's terrible is beyond me. What makes it better is that we might be buying it off the council for £25m even though it only cost £23m to build...
I agree about Beckford. But so many players can do the business in League One and then struggle completely in the Championship. Billy Sharp, Luke Varney. I guess they're OK Championship players but not worth a few million.Quote:

You pay for what you get, with Beckford comes goals, with goals comes points, with points comes promotion. Yes, they may struggle to make it but 2nd top scorer in league one - I can see Cardiff / Forest / Us buying him although I wouldn't like him here unless he got a stern whipping.

Leeds had everything that the big clubs such as arsenal, manchester united and chelsea have and have had so much negativity over the last 5 years with finance and greedy chairmen ect. Its extremely hard to go from having that to having what we have atm. Many other clubs couldn't have gone through that ordeal and not gone bankrupt.
I don't see why you critisize leeds fans either, Leeds fans are extremely dedicated and have gone to hell and back, such dedication should be rewarded not mocked.

Elland Road is a dump, an absolutely dump of a ground. It's made of useless corrugated steel and cardboard. It's not a ground, it's 4 stands around a pitch - that's not a ground. If you go to Elland Road, odds are you'll come out covered in blood.
The media love Leeds, however. This is why Elland Road is complimented. Look North, a local news programme in Yorkshire, did a piece on Rovers winning promotion although it had no interviews, no reaction, no crowd etc it only showed the goal. However, if Leeds won it then they probably would've filled the programme with it because no matter what happens, Leeds will be the biggest club in Yorkshire. Yes, it's part jealously but the fact is it shouldn't be like that. Everyone in the media is biased towards Leeds.
So, Leah - please learn about football and your 'supported' club before you go posting things like that. Please, I hate Leeds and I know more about them than you.
