Well, I'm moving there next year with some mates and I just wanted to know a few things.
What's the drinking age?
How old do you need to be to drive?
Do you need to know someone who lives there in order to get there?
(more will probs come).

I know we're going to be staying at my friends aunts house until we have a place of our own.
What's the drinking age?: 18
How old do you need to be to drive?: 16
Do you need to know someone who lives there in order to get there?: yes... unless you get a visa.
Thanks +rep.
sorry to sound rude but erm family lol?
Ur choosing mates over family ;S/
Would you rather live with your mum and dad for your whole life?
What about food and money?
We're staying in my friends aunts house and paying rent until we get our own place, we're obviously going to bring money over with us to live off and also look for jobs at the same time. I know it's a long way from home but there's alot more things to do out in Canada than there is in the crap hole I live in now.
how dare u diss brighton it has plenty attractions...
ummm
ummm
ummm
anyways have fun
Yeah, it has some, which can all be seen in a day. Once you've lived here for 17 years you will also get bored of it.
See you in about 2 years.
woah sounds good! im not sure on your questions but i have a lot of family there! last year back my family went over to Vancouver to visit relatives and that, was so good : ) do you know where abouts in canada your going?
What's the drinking age?: 19..
How old do you need to be to drive?: 16 = g1..
Do you need to know someone who lives there in order to get there?: yes.. or family members work in a certain job field or own there own bussiness..
calgary.
well, if you start at the pavilion, have the hour tour then the 5 min walk to brighton pier then you're done. you've been to the sea, pier, pavilion all in one day. no point trecking to the west pier as it's a pile of crap these days, what you see from the brighton pier is the same as what you see when you're closer.
Town centre is pretty crap, the lanes dont take long to get bored of and that's pretty much all.
I've done alot of research into moving to Canada as I will be moving there when I have the money. :P
The first two questions have been answered, so I'll just answer the las tone.
To live out there you must get a visa which would involve taking a written test, or to get married to someone.
tbh i am jealous now
lol
canada is like the best to me :(
grr wd
yh brighton to canada - big move lol
How odd. I was planning on moving to Canada when I was older but, Im not sure I could do it on my own :P
ye visa isn't that difficult to get here.. unlike the usa..
ye that might be.. it works alright.. 16 and 8 months and you can drive alone.
alberta has weird classes of vehicles.. 1 - 7
Drinking age is 19 except in Quebec and outwest it's 18, driving age is 16 where you can apply for your beginners and 3 to 6 months later you can get your full licence depending on if you took a drivers ed program or not. Also no matter how old you are, you have to wait 2 years before all the restrictions are off your licence (driving after 12AM).
8 if you take driving classes 12 if you don't.
I COULD have gotten my g2 July 20... but I haven't taken classes yet or even stepped foot in a car 8(
I'm gunna buy one by the end of the month and practice/take classes and then HOPEFULLY take the test in like october.
Easiest way to do it would be to get a years working visa!
I wanna live in Canada, I'm half Canadian :)
Where are you moving to?
Calgary.
Also, researching info on the Visa is worrying me alot. I know I need a certain amount of money in the bank before I go, the website said atleast $10,000 worth but as there's 3 of us going, is that $10,000 each or $10,000 between us?
