Do you need to know someone who lives there in order to get there?: yes... unless you get a visa.
You don't need a visa to get into Canada from the Uk.

No you don't, I went there this Easter and didn't need one. You don't need a Visa for travelling between commonwealth countries.

But was yours for a holiday or to move there?

And we're all applying for a years visa soon. I've been told I need to be 18 before I can apply, is that true?

I got my full Canadian licence 3 months after I got my beginners.
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

Also, researching info on the Visa is worrying me alot. I know I need a certain amount of money in the bank before I go, the website said atleast $10,000 worth but as there's 3 of us going, is that $10,000 each or $10,000 between us?
