China just got there first medal
;p
China got a few yesterday.
Who cares about China, this is about Phelps!
what about thorpedo?
is he in it this year?
He's retired now I think.
Phelps got his second gold in the 400 relay, France were way way ahead, but the US caught up in the last 25m, absolutely outstanding performance.
How the **** did the USA catch up. Shoot the French guy, I say.
That's 3 so far, 5 to go.
The BBC spectators were saying that he is begining to look tired.
Wow thats amazing to beat the world record by that much.
didn't the usa beat the 4x100 world record by 4 seconds?
ye and france beat it by 3. dam speedos.
Men's 200m Freestyle Final is on at 3:15 I think. COME ON PHELPS :eusa_danc
he beat the world record for the first 100 m in the 4 x 100 m relay when it's only his 6th strongest event. pretty impressive .
Just another way that the US owns everyone else in the world.
G Dubs for dictator
phelps is the man.
If he was British, he would of been rubbish.
I think he make it to 8.
He hasn't even raced 8 times yet :S
He just won his fourth gold medal, making him the greatest Olympian ever with his total of 10 gold's. He was looking a little sloppy though and didn't seem happy with his performance, even though he still broke the world record. As he has done in every final so far.
The Men's 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay Final is at 4:19am, which he is also competing in. He's on at 1:13pm in heat 6 of the Men's 200m Individual Medley. Three events in one day, he must be getting tired.
USA just won by 5 seconds, which is a lot in swimming. Broke the world record by miles as well. Phelps got ahead straight away. How is he so good!? How does he get ahead of everyone else!? Five gold's now, three to go. He didn't look tired at all in this event.
Great Britain did quite well, but ended up 6th.
If you watch him in his starts and turns, he spends alot of time under water. That is where you can make a difference, as it is the fastest part of the swim. I used to swim, and my coach always said to do well on the starts and turns, sadly I did not listen .
11 gold medals ever, 5 gold medals in this olympics, 5 world records in this olympics.
He is, truly, the greatest olympian ever. He's outstanding. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get the other 3.
No, your post seemed kind of idiotic to me.
Ah, I see. I'll pay more attention to his starts and turns then. :P I can't believe how good he is compared to everyone else though. Everyone else seems to finish around roughly the same time, but Phelps is already a mile ahead. Aparrently some people aren't competing in the Olympics because they can't beat him.
Drugs perhaps? I must admit it would be the funniest thing ever if he was on performance enhancing drugs but I think it's unlikely as he'll almost certainly be tested.
I saw his first race last night and fell to sleep just before his second, he didn't look too pleased when he broke the record since he had trouble with his goggles the commentators were saying. Was he tired after the relay?
I used to do a lot of swimming for clubs too, reasonable success but it took too much dedication in my life so it had to go. In freestyle your not meant to spend too long under water unlike on backstroke, butterfly and breast stroke, but he does so strong kicks he can afford to stay under water in freestyle.
Yeah, his goggles leaked on his first race. He still won gold and beat the world record, but I think he was disappointed because he knew he could go faster. He was cheering and yelling with his team mates after they won the relay though. He didn't seem tired at all. :P

Phelps might have some competition here.
He obviously didn't go all out because he would be tired by now lol. And these speedos are obviously helping to break the world records.
Ryan Lochte already came close to getting a gold even while swimming with a stomach virus. I think Lochte will definitely be up there with Phelps.
Phelps will be exhausted.
For China's 1 billion people they have the best athletes, but USA is killing them though, I hope they don't catch up.
Yes, they are. In the heats, he went really slowly for the first 50m then did a massive deep turn and came up second.
Lochte beat Phelps in the American trials. I think he beat him anyway might have been really close.
China are in the lead and have you realised how much of China is in poverty?
Phelps won again. Surprised!? :P
Lochte came a very close third.
