Habbox does have the permission to allow us to post pictures of ourselves but Habbox doesn't allow it. Does anyone think we should be allowed? I got an infraction a while ago for having a picture of myself in my avater because I assumed that we would be allowed since Habbo said we could, but unfortunatly Habbox still wouldn't allow it. Or maybe if we could only post a picture of ourselves wearing glasses so it would hide our identity a bit more?

I think it's due to the fact of bullying, but idk. It doesn't really bother me, and a forum isn't meant for pictures of you? :S
well there is a "post a picture of yourself" thread in spam. you're just not allowed it in your avz.

I don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to insert a picture of yourself.
If the rule is to stop bullying surely it's pointless because people can bully you from the links you post in the 'Post your Picture' thread?

I don't think this would be good, as this could increase bullying to other forum members, although you can post links. If your that desperate you can go on CH, they allow it.
If you upload an avatar or picture of yourself, anywhere on the internet, you have to expect criticism and no-one is to blame but yourself. It should be allowed, Habbox is a teen site and coincidently members should take responsibility of their actions. If members get bullied, pull out the tiny violins and play the worlds sadest song. It all depends on how childish the members are, but usually if members post pictures of themselves they're hugely edited and half the time you're not recognisable...
A majority of forums have members posting pcitures of themselves in profile pictures and avatars, it's expected and there is no rule of the galactic forum definition organisation saying anywhere "forums aren't for pictures of yourself". That's a vague way of thinking :/Quote:

A link is just as bad as an image, if people are purposely wanting to troll, then they will find these links and do their damage. Besides, there shouldn't be children on the forum, or is Habbox rebelling against the fansite and Habbo ways? :P As far as I see it, there's no harm trying it for a few weeks or even a month and see what happens, although then again people will probably find that trial period an excellent excuse to get themselves banned :DQuote:

How is posting an image of yourself a security threat? You can't do anything with a picture of someone, you can't find someone even with their location AND a picture, it's impossible and even if they do, what could happen? Not alot, and the chances of someone even bothering to locate someone by travelling miles to hunt them down seem highly unlikely. If a paedo or anyone else for that matter wants a victim, they'll do it in their local area. Heck, loads of members on this forum have seen pictures of each other and I know one particular member who has stalked another member while they were at work :PQuote:

Bullies only bully on this forum because they get away with it, you don't seem to practice the "kiss and make up" stratedgy. You just infract and leave it, when you should PM the member personally and tell them to PM the other member and tell the two that there's no need for this behaviour. I remember school and being a prefect, Year 7s were treated with this and it worked, but then again I am mean :P
I am also yet to see the rules updated big time, there's too many rules which already fit into catagories. vbulletin have smaller rules on their forum, and they actually make sense...
it would be nice to allow it, i wouldnt personally but i think some people would like to have it as there avatars

No, you're all way too ugly. In all seriousness, at the end of the day I think it should be up to the user whether they want to or not. Nobody will ever force anyone to post or not to post. If Habbo allow it then it's clear there are no serious threats because otherwise they wouldn't allow it. It doesn't really affect any of us drastically anyway.
If we are allowed to do it, please don't have your pic in your avatar because that would stop me from coming on the forum alltogether. :P Nah, your right! We should be able to post ourselves if we want to.Quote:
