DO you think these will give a decent sound from music, gaming and videos? I want to get a 5.1 system for my home computer but I have a £50 budget.
If you have any ideas please suggest them :D

They look pretty decent.
Not much point buying expensive ones if you have intergrated sound card
I wouldn't bother buying a cheap system like that. Try and save some money and get some Logitech Z5500s with an X-Fi soundcard :8
Bear in mind, they are cheap for a reason
I'd strongly recommend Logitech X-530s or X-540s if you can stretch £10-20 more.
I had them and they're good :P
They look alright, try the Logitech ones I have then upstairs, but I got bose companion 5 for my main PC. Try these http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/sp...kers/&cl=gb,en I don't think they are 5.1 though, but they are good.
I have http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/sp...ices/224&cl=gb,
Absolutely AMAZING.
Comet have the X-540s on offer - £40. http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...SPEAKER-SYSTEM Gogogo.
I swear they've had that offer on since July
One more question: How do they connect to the PC? Do they connect through the green connection on the motherboard?
Yes. Do you have a 5.1 compatible soundcard?
It won't be 5.1 then
Also, are the cables from speaker to subwoofer RCA, in case I need to extend them?
If you only have a 2 channel soundcard, then you can run the speakers in matrix mode which will emulate a 6 channel source. It's what i do and it works fine. A proper surround sound card would be better though. The speakers are connected to the sub through RCA cables so they can be extended, which is what i have done.
They're 4.5 watt per satelite.
Most cheap (£20) iPod speaker systems only kick out 4w.
And like someone said, they're cheap for a reason...
The less you pay for speakers, the less quality you'll get, and that (from looking at the specifications) seems pretty crap.
Go for a good make like Logitech or possible Creative.
Whatever you do, make sure you have more than a pathetic 4.5w/channel.
Check out ebuyer. that site normally has some decent deals on this time of year along with pixmania (spell) not sure on that name. google it it'l come up.
Hi,
Just thought i'd tell you guys that I just got the speakers and they are fantastic!!! I don't have the courage to turn the volume up to 100% because they are so loud!!
Thank you to everyone who helped me.
