No. Thats just a lie that has been spread around. People have even messaged people telling them to put "MAKE LIVE FREE" in their Bio and Microsoft will listen.
Its not going to happen. Microsoft make too much money from subscriptions to live.

Plus £40 a year for live is worth it.
I don't own an XBox, but perhaps they want to match their rivals, Sony?

People complain about xbox live costing, well i certainly think the people who complain have no job seeing as it can range from £32 to £40 a year which works out roughly £3 a month,now if you cant spare £3 a month then there is seriously something wrong, it will never be free, microsoft have over like 10million subscribers thats alot of cashflow to just kill off

And 1 year xbox live - £30
£197 For all that
And PS3 Income is from
PS3 - £300

PS3 and Xbox are the same just different providers, Online on both sides are good and personally there isn't much difference. lets not start a PS3 vs Xbox 360 war here?
Right I doubt Xbox is going to do that, they want money and damn hell they will get it, its business and they don't care if you don't like it or not they want money, as do Sony and Nintendo. Not one of these companies give a damn about the consoles, they want money and they may listen now and again to the customers but that's only because they want you to play.
Simples.
xbox comes with a mic, so you have, well before party chat, the majority of the room talking.
and it won't be free. they need to pay for live maintenance etc, just mean they'll always have that income i think

Xbox does indeed come with a mic, does it come with built in Blu-Ray? You can just probably go to a decent electronics shop and pick up a USB mic for about a fiver, then use that.Quote:

well Xbox Live has more content, theirs the the Marketplace, and some other stuff, but the Ps3 has blueray, and all their stuff in one mega package but with the Xbox you can just buy it individually, so I'm not sure?
