I don't think it's against the rules.
I haven't done it myself, but I've heard you can get some really good drops if you can be bothered to get the potential.
Works like this:
Every half hour you stand in a HotSpot you get 1 'Point' of DP. You can gain as much as you want. You can usually get around 2 kills per 'point' of DP. The DP doesn't actually give you a better drop, it gives you more chances to get a better drop. :D
But no, I got a d chain from killing people that run out with 26K. If you want to play Runescape, you should do it the right way :P

I have had some decent stuff from doing it today d scimmy x2, rune hasta, and more but crap, =]
The 26K trick is for people who don't know how to make money the right way :(

It seems cool because it's quick easy no skills needed cash.
but then you do have to kill somebody who actual has a decent item on them?
No, you kill them when they have 25-26K in their inventory. :P

Either:
Join the CC: "Item Farming"
Or do google.
Or ask a friend that knows how.
You could ask a friend to do the trick with you, so you give them 26K and they let you kill them in a Hot Spot.
Or you can ask someone in a PvP World, although some people will probably just take the money and teleport. ^^
Or bank it quickly. I usuall watch the CC: "Item Farming", find out where they're getting their dp, and barrage their poor souls. You can usually find good people in that chat.
I am usually in item farming too =]

And ever if you did just kill the 26k its the same thing your doing the trick except your just killing them...

I got the D chain from killing some stupid person who ran out of the bank with 26K and tried skulling on me. I don't go out of my way to find a 26K partner, as I don't do that. I kill people PKing, if they happen to have the 26K on them, oh well.Quote:

Actually you said you go out of your way to kill them, and you join the chat to kill them so you know where they are.
Yeah, I do go on the chat. But I only go out of my way to attack them if I see that they're new to the 26K trick.
