It is good for you as it increases your stroke volume and makes your heart work harder than normal.
There are only benefits to be gained.
I'm 16 and recently just hit 6" in my last weigh in i was; 14st 3lbs at 14.2% BF. I've been lifting weights since I was 13/14 and have never regretted it since. I'm on my bulking season at the moment because rugby has finished. When i get back playing i'll probably be about 13st 10 at 12%
People like Arnie started when they were only 13, he has grown to be about 6"1, 6"2
