    Default Should I lift weights?

My cousin bought a dumbbell set a while ago and has been using them regularly ever since. He wants to use proper weights but is too young to go in a gym. So what I'm thinking is that I find somewhere that will allow him to go in with me and I try lifting as well. Just don't know if I will be able to make any progress because of my diet, my cousin seems to have but I don't know if his muscles have just grown anyway because of his age. I've tried looking for things on the web that you can take/drink while lifting but they all seem to be fake and probably won't work at all. Any advice? Thanks.

I don't think so, you're meant to eat a high protein diet I think but I don't and it doesn't seem to make a difference; I still progress.

Diet is worth considering at times, but it is virtually negligible and not worth considering unless you are training towards a particular goal. (By virtually negligible, I assume you are already eating a balanced diet.) If it's a very intensive workout though, get some carbs in as soon as you finish. Supplements are largely unnecessary; just keep working little and often, and the testosterone will be enough for 'henchness'.

re your cousin: I refuse to give any training advice or specific weights advice. If he's too young to go to a gym, it must mean he's under 16. I don't support under 18s using heavy weights. Let him grow up before worrying about weights. Wait until he is old enough to access a range of gym equipment.

    It doesnt matter.

At the age of about 13 - 18 you will see your muscle grow loads.

Because of all the testosterome in your body.

Diet - Depending on weather you want to simply gain muscle mass and not care about your body fat to muscle ratio, then to a certain extent a low fat, high protein diet doesn't have to be taken into consideration. If your bulking you just have to make sure that your eating alot of calories from proteins and carbohydrates. Your training I cannot help you with. Proper technique and intensity is vital. Most people who lift weights haven't got a clue how hard they should be working and don't keep track of their heart rate.

Remember, If you want to grow you have to make the body work harder than normal and give your muscles a reason to grow.

PM me if you want any more help, as your first post was quite vague

Id go for it because as long as you do everything properly, youll only get benefits from it.
    1. Jeremy 1129 up, 295 downA named based on the biblical name Jeremiah. Used as a name for children who are blessed with a large brain and/or penis. Also used as a replacement for "perfect".
We had a child and it had a very large penis so we named it Jeremy.

A diet is quite important, however it doesnt mean neccersarily that you have to eat cabbage and thats it, you should eat things like tuna or foods with high protein content. Protein shakes are quite good too as they have a lot of protein in (hence the name lool!)
A steady intake of protein and exercise will help build muscles and make you more toned ect. There's a lot of guides about it on the internet.

Providing you eat right I reccomend supplements such as Maximuscle Promax Extream, Maximuscle Cyclone.

Tip: Instead of chocolate bars, why not Maximuscle bars?

'Cause they give you the *****. If you dont go to the gym at least 3 times a week and do excercise regularly then any protein+ stuff will make you fat.
