I didn't know you could do :startlog in 2001 but I knew you could do it as a hobba on .com

":startlog x" (is what Staff usually typed - but it works without the x).
Would send a log from everything that has been said in the room untill you left, then it would be send to your email.

Anybody could do it in the early days.

I think P1ckle says on his page about how anyone could use it and used to just send their chatlogs to themselves.

That would be really effective to prove abuse i think they should bring it back

that was before chatlogs existed, now it automatically does it and mods can view them

Yes it was. Now, when you 'Call for Help', a chat log is automatically viewable on the situation from the Mods, and they can choose to keep monitoring the chat so they can see if anything after the C4H was being send happened that needed moderation.
