it's by Quentin Tarantino of course it's great.
Never heard of him. Haha :P
pfft! he's made legendary films
Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill
Sin City
Right apart from Kill Bill the rest are poo.
:@! they're brill.
oh he also directed The Spirit
Na poo.
Never heard of it lol.
lol?
the rest are "poo"?
okay...
Well hopefully if you like this film so much it will inspire you to get into more Tarantino films. :)
Robert Rodriguez directed Sin City. The creator of the Sin City graphic novels and universe acted as a consultant, but Robert decided to give him a credit as co-director. As Robert and Quentin are best friends, he asked Quentin to direct one scene of Sin City, which is where Clive Owen is driving and Benicio Del Toro's corpse is talking. Tarantino also never directed The Spirit, that was Frank Miller. This is Quentin's directorial filmography, in chronological order:
Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown
Kill Bill
Death Proof
Inglourious *******s
He also directed a portion of Four Rooms.
After having the honour of working on Inglourious *******s, I have now seen the film twice. The first at the London premiere, and the second last Saturday. The film's released tomorrow in the UK, and I urge anyone of age to see it. The most innovative writer/director of our time has made a another masterpiece second only, in my eyes, to Pulp Fiction.
I was a Production Assistant. I was invited to visit the set by a friend of mine for a few days and was asked if I wanted to help out for cheap, so naturally, I said yes. I've no idea if I'm in the credits, they don't credit every single PA unfortunately. I have terrible eyesight so at both screenings I've been to I haven't been able to read the majority of the credit block. The credits haven't been released yet as a document, so only time will tell. And yes, I did meet Brad, but never conversed with him or shook his hand, just worked. I couldn't care less about him when standing next to Quentin, whom I did have some conversations with.
yeah, i rly wanna see this film! looks epic :)
Of course he's a wonderful actor and he was very funny on set, it was a pleasure to work with him, I just mean out of the two. Quentin's been my idol for a decade. Working with him was the best experience of my life.
ah ok. Just the way you said it made me go :O. How could he say that!
Well a person like Bad Pitt you know lol...
I would understand if it was someone like Clint Eastwood or someone crap like him.
I don't like any of his films he's made TONSSSSS thou.
Clint Eastwood is great how can you not like his films lol?
He directed Million Dollar Baby
You're saying you dislike Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy? A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly? :S:S:S:S:S:S
he clearly doesnt have taste if he doesnt like Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs...
just an opinion lol.
Oh i thought so.... :@
saw it this evening. dark, gory and laugh out loud funny.
great dialogue, interesting characters and the ending was a bolt from the blue thats for sure.
think I liked it more than Kill Bill but Id still place Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction over it as I thought some of the scenes were stretched a little further than they should have been.
To be honest I can't stand Pulp Fiction, it's a good movie and it's well made and everything but it's just not my sort of film, I didn't find it as funny as people say it is either. xD
aye am looking forward to it. been hearing bout it loads and it looks awesome
I've still not seen it yet. I'm put off Tarantino after Death Proof which was just total crap: people can argue that it was a masterpiece as it wasn't a movie in the conventional sense but it was a terrible film. I like everything else he has done though so hopefully this will indeed be a return to form.
I loved Death Proof, but it is my least favourite of his films so far. It's widely misunderstood, you've just got to have an understanding of the exploitation cinema of the '60s and '70s to appreciate it.
Booked my third screening for Monday :D
Loved it but still disappointing for myself, I was really expecting a movie of the year type movie, but I wouldn't put it in my top 3 (District 9, Up, Hangover). I thought there weren't any memorable lines or anything like that like there are in all Tarantino movies. Christoph Waltz (Landa) did a phenomenal job acting though, and Pitt was hilarious.
Best part was definitely the entire theatre scene, really well done and kicked total ass. Christoph Waltz' acting alone is worth the price of admission.
On set, everybody was in awe whenever Waltz was performing, he's truly phenomenal and I'm so glad Quentin cast him - he's just an Austrian TV actor - but showcasing himself in the film will definitely lead on to some more major roles in the future, and he deserves an Oscar without a doubt.
And it opens king of the box office at number one, as expected. With the biggest opening day of any Quentin Tarantino picture. Too bad his best friend Robert Rodriguez's new film Shorts didn't even make the top 5.
Top of the UK box office also.
