Yeah. 'Twas too long for my liking but never the less good.
Yet another adaptation?
No surprise there, to much CGI? Or was it too much of a good story line! Personally i thought it was great and look forward to the conclusion tomorrow.
i think the CGI in it was very good especially the sky and when the plane crashed, and the storyline was good as well. but i was thinking if the triffids produce oil, wouldn't it be flammable? and they could just burn them to death.
Well I watched an older version and I'm literally watching it as we speak on iPlayer.
got to say from the book i didnt recognise the beebs most recent adaptation of it whatsoever. Saying that it made watchable television and it had one of Susan from Desperate Housewive's ex boyfriends as the main protagonist!
John Wyndham is a god amongst men at science fiction.
If that was directed at me, then perhaps you should know better as to not misread something where I do not offer an opinion. I did not watch this TV film, nor did I know of this adaptation's existence. All I said was simply that it is yet another adaptation of a novel.
Didn't watch this but I'm sure I've seen an older version (is there more than one other than this?).
Yes there is an older version, and it is therefore not just an adaption of a novel. It was first released in 1962.
It's already been done as a TV film also, aside from Steve Sekeley's feature in '62.
i watched it last night, not really that impressed though. although i was on the laptop at the same time so it didn't have my full attention. although, if it was really good it would have captured and had my undivided attention but yeah.
Wow last episode was fantastic, but a bit disappointed at the end.
Yeah the end was rather and so they all lived happily ever after. I prefer the action that happened in the first part.
