No surprise there, to much CGI? Or was it too much of a good story line! Personally i thought it was great and look forward to the conclusion tomorrow.

i think the CGI in it was very good especially the sky and when the plane crashed, and the storyline was good as well. but i was thinking if the triffids produce oil, wouldn't it be flammable? and they could just burn them to death.

got to say from the book i didnt recognise the beebs most recent adaptation of it whatsoever. Saying that it made watchable television and it had one of Susan from Desperate Housewive's ex boyfriends as the main protagonist!

John Wyndham is a god amongst men at science fiction.
    something.

If that was directed at me, then perhaps you should know better as to not misread something where I do not offer an opinion. I did not watch this TV film, nor did I know of this adaptation's existence. All I said was simply that it is yet another adaptation of a novel.

Didn't watch this but I'm sure I've seen an older version (is there more than one other than this?).

Yes there is an older version, and it is therefore not just an adaption of a novel. It was first released in 1962.
