are you close to your grandparents? are they old fashioned? do they treat you?
Only got one grandma left now. Yeah I am close to her. She's great :D
She is somewhat old fashioned still. Treats me quite a lot though. :)
i'm very close to my maternal grandma. she lives with me and we're as tight as a nun. obviously the favourite grandchild but y'anno as she always spoils me more than my sister. all the other grandparents, not so much rly.
yeah they treat me on my dads side, most of my dads side are rich tehe
but my mums side are complete **** ups so no.
my real grandad died when i was 10 months:( but i have a stepgrandad who i've known since birth..
yeah pretty close. like i want to make them proud etc. my grandad is also giving me his house which is included in his will so i want to make him proud with my success and grades
i have 1 granddad and 2 nans, i love them loads, im dreading ever losing them.
I love my Nana to bits, my Granddad doesn't remember things as well as he used to but without either of them I'd feel really upset :( My Nana treats me a lot, if I want a magazine she gives me the money :)
Well not really close but I really like my mums mum, sometimes I go spend time with her in her house. I don't really like my mum's dad just because I don't really know him, and he seems very quite to judge. but he has been very generous in times of need with money etc so yeah. My dads dad is dead and has been for a very long time and my dad's mum is like 99 and beginning to lose it but yeah she's always been nice, but very very very proper.
Kind of yeah, not really old fashioned, treat me sometimes but not as much now.
Only have one granddad left and were not that close since I rarely see him.
I love mine, they make me feel so welcome. My Dad's mum is proper stereotypical granny buying me sweets, sending me money, taking me out. Love her longtime.
we are close but they live in russia. they aint old fashioned lol.
oh and i have 2 grandmas, 1 grandad, and 3 or 4 great grandmas. ;)
my nana sends me sweets & money too lol. but cos she sends it in a parcel, it takes like 1 month for it too come.
I'm very close to my nana and grandad on my mum's side. They've always looked after me ever since I was little when my parents had to work late. I'd always go round to theirs after school and play with my cousins, I loved it. They do treat me a fair bit tbh and I appreciate everything they do for me.
I'm not so close to my grandma on my dad's side, I'm not really that close to any of my dad's side of the family.
On my Dad's side, Grandma passed away in 2004 and I never knew my Grandad.
On my Mum's side, Grandad passed away when I was young and my Grandma is still alive.
I love my Grandma to bits, she is always there to encourage, congratulate and push me to achieve more. I'm really greatful.
Only have a grandmother now and we are close. The rest have passed.
Erm I've never met my dad so i wouldn't know if my Dads Dad & Mum are still alive, I dont even know if my Dad himself is alive!!
But on my mums side, my Grandma died in 2008, aged 95, i took it really hard because she was such a joker, great sense of humour, treated me whenever i saw her and she always promised to buy my first car too! :( she was such a legend who I miss dearly.
my nan is a funny one too, she reaches 70 this year, she treats us regularly, but likes to treat herself more, she had a mega makeover on her house last year.
My Granddads...
My Nan's Dad died before I was born, in 1989 I think on Cup Final Day at 3pm when it kicked off!
My Mums Dad was selfish, I don't know what happened with him and my Nan but he left us and we let him be. He doesn't keep in touch with my Mother either.. It was last December he tried getting back in touch but we ignored him. I don't know if that was right but he got a taste of his own medicine.
I only have a grandma left and I'm not that close to her. I go and see her some weekends. Normally she just gives me money when I visit her like most grandmas do :P
My mums Dad died before I was born, and my dads dad died before my dad was born so I didn't meet either of them.
My Grandma on my dads side I remember going to her house every half term/summer holiday and her giving me and my sister those 'KP Chocolate dip' things lol she passed away when I was about 7 or 8.
My Nan which is on my mothers side I was really close to she lived a couple of hours away from us so used to come and stay for weeks at a time at our house. She always used to buy us treats and bring us presents every time she came but sadly she also passed away a couple of years ago.
Although it was sad when my Nan and Grandma both died I am now happy that I at least got to know them and I at least have those fond and some funny memories that my family still joke about today. They may have passed on in the physical sense but they still live on through the memories my family share :)
Mum's side; Grandad passed away about a year before I was born. I visit my gran every day, she's amazing and all that.
Dad's side; Grandad passed away about 3 years ago, he was literally the only decent one on that side. My Gran looks like the nice Gran, but she's actually a *****. It's not harsh, she is, I have reasons. :)
very rarely get to see them
i dont really like my dads side.. theyre so bloody perfect. "dont do this, dont do that." my dads dad died 1 year and 7 days before I was born.. drowned in a boat. All the rest are fine.
i have 2 grans and 1 grandad but im close to all of them :D but i dont see them much cos they live so far away from me
my mums mum died + was coolest:( her dad lives 2 doors down so we're pretty close
other gran, who we call granny neglect and her husband (my dads parents) are russian, they're racist and homophobic. plus my grandads an alcoholic and a celebrity in this area ;l they're stuck up and snobby so no don't get on with them
I love my grandparents, we are all close. We all actually live pretty close, I could just go see my nan & grandad in like a 2 min walk. I still have a set of great-grandparents who I don't see very much since they live quite far away but when I do it's nice. :)
I have one grandma, and i don't want to be close to her, she is weird tbh. Goes to church everyday without fail, prayes before eating/sleeping, knits me clothes (c'mon, i'm ******' 19!) just real weird..
I only have my nana from my mums side but she stays with us (which can be really annoying sometimes:() but my Grandad and his wife from my dads side stay like 4 hours away still talk/go and see them regularly though :P
Only my grandmother lives near me, my grandfather lives in a different province, and last fall he got married so I doubt I'll see him much at all.
I don't se my grandmother as much as I should, but she's really sweet and nice to all her grandchildren and pretty well everyone.
I got one grandma left, I see her loads now a days, help out with using the net ;).
My dad's parents died when I was very little and my mum's dad died 2 years ago, he was a legend though
And I love my nan she's amazing, she never shouts and I love her :)
only 1 grandma left; dad's mum
shes 96 :o
i dont see her much, maybe once every couple of weeks
she treats me a lot, my grandad was kinda rich, and she just gives me a lot of that money pmsl.
Grandparents on my Dads side are both dead, only met them like 5 or 6 times and I was quite young then so I have very few memories of them which is a shame.
Still frequently see my grandparents on my Mums side, very nice down to earth people, I love them a lot :)
I only have one grandad now, that's it.
we're not close at all.
grandad is amazing
my grandma actually loves me the most, probably in the family which consists over 40 people. I'm the only younger one that give any interest. Shes about 80 and might not have long left, no one bothers talking to her - infact my cousins laugh - only i take her seriously - talk to her and give her hugs :')
Im really close to my grandparents.. well not all of them lol. On my mums side there not old fashioned at all and do treat me (A). My dads side are like the complete opposite LOL
