Your thread hasn't been deleted. :S
You can view it here: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthrea...st#post6474977
i would like other forum users views on these 9 million threads an hour issue that is why i posted it in FEEDBACK
wasn't deleted it was moved to 'Questions about Habbox' then 'Forum & Moderation'.
As, it is a question aimed at staff. I cannot prvide a link as I am on my phone.
Alright. No Jake hasn't been paid to be active and post a ton of threads to get people posting and create discussion on the forum, that is what we want surely? Last time I checked we were a forum. If you feel that any of the threads are pointless then please do report them and the Moderation Team will check it out and if they agree with you then they shall be moved to the appropriate section. But from what I can see on the first page nearly all of them are creating discussion and users are replying to them. Which I don't think is a bad thing?
I don't see a problem with these threads at all, they seem to be creating nice discussions and most people seem to be enjoying them.
It's not just the same person making all these threads though, a lot more people have been making threads recently in discuss anything.
I would rather have an active forum than a dead forum tbh. He did what I was going to do, just before me :(.
lolol hi adam, hows you?
i think people forget i did this before on immenseman, people didn't complain as much then >.> sad that you're judged on posts and rep lol, zzz.
its **** annoying to go on a forum and see all the previous discussions not there filled with new ones but oh well nothing i can do about that! would be better if you just did one thread a day.
god people are never happy.
Nice point you're making in sports section :P
it's fab, really helped my post count
thanks pal
Well my personal view is and obviously it is up to the Forum Management to rule on this is that unless somebody actually starts a discussion which states their points of view, comprehensively, in the first post so that is kickstarts a substantial and valid thread and not ask a question and then just say 'do you?' or 'what is it?' which invites short replies that are on-topic making then rather superficial, but not against the rules threads. As Jake has said above 'it helped his post count' - not really what Habbox is about in my view but he is entitled as it presently stands. Something that should be looked at fairly urgently I believe.
dictionary > sarcasm
some people would never be happy. how dare the forum have a lot of discussions for old and newer members alike to get involved in. seeing as i've got new members to post which has been acknowledged by forum management with my +rep i won't be changing what i do. if you think it's spammy, report it. simples.
Is that post aimed at me because I am not sure. If it is then as I say my personal view is that they are borderline spam unless the OP posts a significant first post which states their views on the topic rather then just a question otherwise it could be seen by other members just posting to get their post count up. It is something that obviously only management can rule on as at the moment it is marginally allowed.
If you felt that way why have you been actively replying to them, they can't have bothered you that much. I think that's stupid. Imagine a new member coming on "What do you guys think of Habbo" as title then posting "So....?" as the actual post, they'd be penalised, is that what you're suggesting?! Incredibly bizarre.
Because at the moment, Jake, they are not against the rules but I have sympathy with other members over the substance of them. Yes I do think the thread you have suggested is pretty meaningless unless the OP takes the time
to kickstart the discussion with his/her views on the topic. As I say though, this is my personal view which is not necessarily the view of the forum management.
I should hope not because that's preventing posting and discussion, a problem highlighted by general and forum management.
I personally feel that Jake's threads justified themselves, as he did sometimes put his view in or he asked further questions/expanded the main question. That's most of them though.
Today's threads posted by Adammm simply had one word like "So?" or "do you?" which is different to what Jake did mainly.
I don't see what the major fuss is as most of the threads are turning into discussions and it seems to be only those with one or two words in that are generating one or two word answers and I intend to look at this when I get back on Sunday evening.
These threads are really no different to Adam's in my view and they are just from the last couple of days.
There are no views of the OP just questions.

Something for you to look at on Sunday! Have fun.:D
Yes because those are two words long
In fact, I only clicked 5 and one of them had my opinion in and the others asked questions prompting discussion. How dare people prompt discussion on a forum?!
Also both times I posted in spam asking if they wanted threads, both times the answer was yes. I posted one thread asking if I post too much and the answer no not too much and users enjoy it.
Stupid
Pointless
Annoying
Message
snooze.
Spam isn't an acronym.

Those that start threads with two-word questions usually go on to explain their views further on in the threads. Starting a thread with a question offers other users an opportunity to present their views first, before the OP gets their chance to talk.
You wouldn't usually start a discussion irl (Granted, a forum isn't irl) with something along the lines of "What do you think of *topic*, my view is that *view*". You would ask a question, wait for an answer, then give your view.
Yes, the majority of these topics could be seen as spamming the forum but I, and many other members, don't really give a hoot. The forum is active for once.
Oh, and Jake, 'stupid pointless annoying message' is a false etymology.
see, even kyle has returned. this is fabulous. hi kyle.
Just leave it to one a day ye ok? im in charge here
a lot of my threads are in spam anyway you cheeky lot
no they're not.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE THREADS THAT JAKE HAS MADE AND THE THREADS THAT I HAVE MADE.
Or are you too starstruck to see this?
Personally I see no problem with it some of the threads that have been started by Jake have actually turned into a really good discussion
I can understand what Catzsy is saying (which Garion also reinforced in a different thread) that Habbox is known for its quality.
adam - i've made more posts in spam since i've been back. so yeha, they are.
saurav - yeah, their quality skins, graphics, design and overall layouts lolol
p.s. my threads have produced thousands of posts, i looked at all other big forums when i started the posts at the bottom of the forum and atm hxf have gone up by more than any one of them which wouldn't have been the case otherwise.
