But that is of course, opinion and use. The iPhone 4 isn't crap, but my golly the company behind it sure make themselves look like crap with their handling of the iPhone 4 fiasco :P
EDIT: Anyone who says Apple use the best components really does have their head in a hole. It's only been recently Apple have bothered to bring in the iSeries Intel processors, while any other OS and machine has had them for months, and then you still get a wider choice of what processor to use without being ripped off.
EDIT Again: Seperate minotors is a good thing, means when one thing goes wrong you do not have to send the whole thing back :P There's an image online somewhere comparing when a webcam goes wrong on an Apple iMac and a PC (possibly Dell). The whole "less cables" argument is for the weak minded, seeing as cables are not seen or heard :/
And this is, of couse, opinion :P
