No I wouldn't hand it in, no doubt one of the officers would claim it (it's happened in the past).
No I like money I'd buy pretty things
No I wouldn't. I'd probably lie to myself and say that if someone dropped £1000 and didn't get it back, it's probably pocket money to them. I wouldn't waste it though, I'd pay for uni stuff (no not the alcohol :P)
If I dropped money in the street e.g that much as you said, I wouldn't get it back because no one would hand it in so why should I?
course i wouldnt
If it's in a wallet or I see someone drop it, I'd hand it in.
If it's £1000 laying there, nothing else too it then ofcourse you're going to take it. Silly not too. Nobody is gunna proove it's theirs etc.
I wouldnt the same police will take it.. they arent so stupid to go on a Microphone and say who is this $1000 they will keep it its not logical how would they even find the guy who owns it :L
no, if anything i'd give it to charity
Someone would go to the police saying they lost £1000 and then explain where they dropped it and why they were carrying it etc. Then the police would know they dropped it, not exactly rocket science.
I'd probably take it to be fair, no doubt though if I told my parents they'd tell me to hand it in cause they're boring like that.
No I wouldn't!
nah i wouldnt hand it in tbh
No... learn a lesson to ******* drop it in the first place.
I would take some as a reward and hand the rest in. Would feel awful if it was some old ladys to pay her rent or something lol
It's not even something I have to mull over now or would I have to at the time. I'd undoubtedly hand it in. Mainly because it's not worth the hassle of getting caught up in it all (I mean who loses £1000) and secondly because I hate how things revolve around money. It's evil.
I'd just keep it as what are the chances of it being returned to its original owner anyway? I'd probs give £250 of it to a charity to make myself feel better tho, or maybe I wouldn't lol. Can't really be sure what I'd do until it actually happened.
I'm unsure really, usually I would but mmm - suppose i'd find out the procedure to see if I would be handed it back if nobody claimed it.
In all honesty, I'd keep it. If I saw someone walking along and dropping it, then that's a different matter. But when theres just cash on the floor, your gonna keep it.
nah if it was only a grand, but it was in cash it means someone must be pretty rich to be able to carry it in cash
A grand isn't really a lot of money when you are talking legitimate business reasons. Maybe someone might be carrying it to buy something off their mate but other than that it is most likely for something dodgy. You do realise I am talking about just a bundle of money, not in a wallet or anything? Which suggests that it is just a quick cash trade, no faffing around getting it out of their wallet. I mean look at the police for example, when they stop people and they have loads of cash on them they know that the chances are it is for something dodgy so want to know why they were carrying so much.
no way and i think anybody who says they would is a liar lol
lol well judging by the fact I saw a 20 on the pavement a few years ago by a parking machine, just rolled it up and put it in the machine change bit, so any tramps looking for spare change would find it I'd probably take it to the police, or more likely donate it to charity :)
20 is different from 1000...
hmmm I'd keep it (A) I'm sure I'm skint so y'know!
i'm skint too but i could never take it for myself
I'd hand it in, the guilt I would feel wouldn't be worth the money.
I've had £500 in my wallet before in £20 notes and it was so thick I had to take it out and just hold it in my hand in my jacket. I would think that anyone with a bundle of notes worth £1000 wouldn't have it doubled over in a wallet. So that doesn't really suggest that anyone who was carrying £1000 out of a wallet and lost it was doing funny business. Obviously it could be but I don't think just because it was out of a wallet would really suggest that.
Have taken £1000 in 50/20/10s to the bank plenty of times for my stepdad's business, it's a decent round number to do if there's not been a huge cash transaction recently. None of these times would it have been possible to put it all in my wallet lol. Police only stop people who they suspect of being up to something anyway so kinda stands to reason that such folk would be shady characters regardless of how they choose to carry their money
Rozi doesn't like touching big things
What if you bought VIP with it
Honest to god. If somebody loses money, why feel guilty for keeping it? I doubt people would go check if it's been handed in at all, due to the society we live in today, so the money will probably be worthless. But seriously, if anybody out there finds that amount of money, keep it!
It's different if it's a tenner or twenty though Bobby, sure nobody is going to check but if they lose 1k I don't think many people will let it slip. Even those who are earning millions with successful businesses will probably at least report it missing.
Yeah neither would I, but the most I'd do is retrace my steps LOL. The person who lost the 1k in the first place is an idiot for a) carrying it around with them insecurely and b) not checking regularly that the moneys still there. But once they retrace their steps and it's not there, I doubt they'd take it any further. I wouldn't anyway.
Yes I would because I am a nice person in real life.
finders keepers losers weepers.
i'd keep it
Keep it. If it was a wallet, i might hand it in to police, but not give a name and take the money. or at least half.
hell no
keep it to myself and not let anybody know at all
