No I wouldn't. I'd probably lie to myself and say that if someone dropped £1000 and didn't get it back, it's probably pocket money to them. I wouldn't waste it though, I'd pay for uni stuff (no not the alcohol )

If it's in a wallet or I see someone drop it, I'd hand it in.

Someone would go to the police saying they lost £1000 and then explain where they dropped it and why they were carrying it etc. Then the police would know they dropped it, not exactly rocket science.

I'd probably take it to be fair, no doubt though if I told my parents they'd tell me to hand it in cause they're boring like that.
