Adding a link for the sake of it:

Nothing truely amazing for the price tag. The iCore processors have been on rival machines for a while now, and they seem a bit over kill to me :/ Also, has the keyboard always been so damn ugly?
The sandy bridge processors that these use have only been out since January 12th. This is new tech.
They look lovely.
If only they put a higher res screen on the 13" :(.
Very expensive - although that's not a surprise :P
OSX Lion Preview can be found here too: http://www.apple.com/macosx/lion/
They look nice, not sure whether to get one or not.
I know little of OS X Snow Leopard, but aren't most of those features already available? I remember seeing the full-screen apps feature mentioned last year some time :S
And I got bored and looked at the GPU for the range and the screen resolutions seem to let it down, assuming you want or will ever need full HD. They're interesting, but way too expensive to justify buying one :P
I got a macbook pro for Christmas wish I had waited for the new one! but hey there great
I like the look of Mac OS X Lion,
Any ideas on how much they cost when realised?
really regret getting the machine I bought now, wish I had just waited and got one of these :(
I'll probably be ordering one very soon :)
I had a multitouch trackpad on my Asus EEE 901 and it was extremely useful for scrolling down and up pages with a two finger swipe. I would imagine, given how much real estate Apple tends to give their trackpad, that it would be very useful for two finger swipes for scrolling and navigating back and forth, three finger taps for application launchers and whatever else you want to set up with magicprefs - I swear there was already multitouch capable trackpads that worked like the magic mouse with magicpref before this, anyways.
My HP laptop has it for zoom, but I tend to go for ctrl as it's more accurate, but I think it may of been a new venture for them. Perhaps I'm just looking too far into the idea, I've never been much of a fan of trackpads as you have to stick your hand into the middle of your body to use them, rather than to the right like with a mouse - if that makes any sense :P
The multi-touch trackpad is excellent.
lol Thats to expensive! They really should lower the price a little
Apple won't lower the price because people buy them. Why would they make things cheaper and lose money when they make plenty of money at the prices now.
I think I am getting one of these for my 18th.
From a techie's point of view, I could very easily switch back to a Windows laptop and not miss anything, the trackpad isn't that amazing, the only multitouch I use on it is two finger scrolling/right clicking, which I can get on most Windows machines now.
The one thing I missed GOING TO a MacBook was a damn BIOS :( Apple's implementation of EFI sucks ass.
So the mac os x lion is a laptop or a desktop computer?
