Hey, just looking through the rules. I thought you might want to update the rules. I've noticed gm deleting threads before and in the rules it says
We can (WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE) edit, close/lock, move, duplicated or publish any of your posted content because as soon as it is posted, you are the author of the content, but it becomes property of Habbox UK Forum.
it doesn't say you can actually delete any threads. thought you might want to update this.
I think it's extremely rare that a thread would get hard deleted. Usually when threads disappear they're just moved into an area of the forum where users can't see them. I'm not sure if that would require adding that they uphold the right to delete threads, or if it would just fall under permission to move threads.
Well adding it wouldn't be too hard and threads do sometimes get deleted so it'd be better to have it in there than not be mentioned. Plus, richie's thread like a month ago got deleted, just naming an example of when this has happened.
How do you know these has been deleted when they get moved out of public view?Quote:

HabboxForum will not advertise the deleting of threads as then we will get more requests to delete content which at the current time we do not do.
Well I got repped for one of my comments in that thread, and the thread link was not there and also richie said that he also couldn't view it so i'd assume it's deleted. was it not?Quote:

I moved that thread out of public view, didn't delete it, I did split a lot of the posts though and moved some of them into the General Management forums for reference - this may have caused the link problem.Quote:

I think it would be counter productive for threads to be deleted anyway, As if someone kicks off in future about something that was in the thread, we would have nothing to reference too. By keeping the threads but putting them out of site of nearly everyone, they are still there if they ever need to be evidenced.

That could be due to the threads you posted in being moved to a forum which does not allow post counts to rise, so it deducts it from your total post count.Quote:

Well, as everyone has started the threads are only moved out of the public eye, they aren't actually deleted from HxF, so to me, the rule looks pretty accurate?
I've had posts recently moved cos I got +repped/-repped for it and the thread's now called...
inseriousity being...
lolol that's all I got but I doubt it's a positive word so probs for the best i can't see it :P.

As deleting threads isn't normally an issue, I don't really think a rule change is necessary :)
If all the posts are moved to one place it'll change the thread name on reps, btw the rest is "silly" ;). If a post you were +repped for was merged into another post it'll disappear.Quote:

No, it's Moving the thread. Deleting means it no longer exists, Moving means it is moved somewhere else. The distinction is pretty clear because they use the "Move thread" button. It's still there if they choose to move it back into public view, need to refer to it, or if the DB needs to draw the information for some reason.
Also, the reason "Delete" isn't in the T&C (not the rules) is because a later bullet point is

And I disagree. Deleted means that it no longer exists on the forums database. Moved means that it still exists on the forums database, somewhere.Quote:
