Deleting threads - Forum Rules.

I think it would be counter productive for threads to be deleted anyway, As if someone kicks off in future about something that was in the thread, we would have nothing to reference too. By keeping the threads but putting them out of site of nearly everyone, they are still there if they ever need to be evidenced.

That could be due to the threads you posted in being moved to a forum which does not allow post counts to rise, so it deducts it from your total post count.

The only time threads / posts have ever been deleted was when there was a brief high-level spat which resulted in the deletion of an account or two. That was a loooong time ago, before I was an admin (probably before I was a SMod too).

The only exception was that we used to delete the replies to the "Report Reputation Here" thread, but I started moving the posts instead so I had reference, so that was back when I was an admin.

There may have been occasional small-scale deleting, since admins can, but I doubt it was ever an issue (for example, I deleted my accidental double posts sometimes, because I could and it was easier than merging.) <<POWER ABUSE!!!!

Well, as everyone has started the threads are only moved out of the public eye, they aren't actually deleted from HxF, so to me, the rule looks pretty accurate?

I've had posts recently moved cos I got +repped/-repped for it and the thread's now called...

As deleting threads isn't normally an issue, I don't really think a rule change is necessary

If all the posts are moved to one place it'll change the thread name on reps, btw the rest is "silly" . If a post you were +repped for was merged into another post it'll disappear.
