Tell me YOUR Genre!

What's your music genre??
I listen to anything! But I guess I prefer Rock'n'Roll :P

I listen to a variety really, there's no specific genre but I do listen to a small number of artists music in general such as Nicki Minaj, Drake, Rihanna, Vanessa Carlton etc.

I dont have a favourite genre. It just depends on the tune and the lyrics really. ^_^

Probably closest to rock and roll on the list, I'm not very open minded when it comes to music tbh, just pop and *+*+*hipsta*+*+* music

side note: how important are lyrics to you in songs?? I never really listen out for the lyrics and just consider the vocals as an instrument.. but my favourite act rely on the lyrics, so i have no idea.

probably what kept me from hating Friday :D

Depends on what people like. My brother likes grime (ugh) based on the lyrics. Gigs, k koke etc

Im more of an american rap/rnb type. Rick ross, Big sean, Drake, Lil wayne, Nicki minaj, Tyga, Kanye west, Wale, Trey songz, Chris Brown :) .. I also like most of the UK music, JME, Chipmunk and so on..

I don't have a specific genre, I can listen to anything from Alternative Rock to Dubstep to Indie to Electronic to Reggae. The only genre I don't listen to is that horrible screechy DJ Bonnie stuff it is truly horrible

I primarily listen to hardcore, which is pretty much 95% about the lyrics and what they mean to the vocalist/band, but having said that I don't actively listen to bands that have something to say, there are a few bands I listen to where, like you said, the vocals are just an addition

I listen to Dubstep/House/Garage/Trance/Funky/Hardcore/Jumpstyle/Hardstyle

@samsaBEAR most people see Hardcore now as Happy Hardcore, HH died out imo, and its now called Hardcore.
I think it's even been classed as that in genres :P

I think more people think of hardcore as rock hardcore now, not dance hardcore

Why have you put hiphop with pop instead of rap or rnb? I know there's a diversity of sound throughout all genres but Rakim isn't very much like Britney
