Looks like 2 phones put together
Yeah there's a lot of new os's coming out mobile wise, Ubuntu being another. I think the Firefox one is planning to be aimed more at developing countries. It looks a bit too basic for me. At least Ubuntu has quite a nice design to the os one that I think could actually compete with Android.
Anyone know much on specs ?
Looks quite nice but 2010/11/12 ish haha. The acc layout of it isn't the best I personally I will stick with Apple. :)
Looks quite nice and so cool.Back and front of the phone looks so great.
I agree it looks nice, like a cheap iphone, but still will stick with my mobile, that orange is awful.
Seems like a cheap iPhone replica. Not fond of the design anyway. :P
I see curved corners. That can only mean one thing :P It looks okay design wise - both from the OS and on physical appearance. The orange is a bit much though, and the icons might be a bit too big for some though. It will be interesting to see how this competes.
well this is going to be interesting . i wonder if google is going to do it
not keen on it to be honest, looks terrible x
Looks a little dodge tbh...
This phone looks simple but stylish, thinking of buying one sometime soon.
I hope Mozilla has something up it's sleeve because Firefox as a brand doesn't really have enough pulling power to get people away from the likes of Android or iOS
It looks okay but I think I will be sticking with mine
Hmm looks like a mix of iphone and htc
itd look nicer with white instead of that puke orange!
[QUOTE=Marketing;7894844]Do what? :S
Make a phone :P
Its not bad but its another way to make money... lol
I like it tbh, it looks a little tacky but I'd still buy it haha. Intrigued about the Ubuntu OS, any news on a release date for that?
It looks horrible... I wouldn't be seen dead with it.
Will be interesting to see what they can come up with for sure and how well it does. It's a bit of a tough market.
It's really an interesting topic for me. In December myself and my partner were contacted by Firefox about our HTML5 Reddit client called Reditr. We promptly created a functional prototype for Firefox OS and we were flown to the Firefox offices in California and later to the Mobile World Congress in Spain. We have the developer phones and I have to say they're pretty cool. Steve Jobs originally only wanted Javascript, HTML and CSS apps for the iPhone and Apple never went though with it. It was probably a good idea at the time because the hardware was respectively less powerful years ago. Now though, I think what Firefox is doing is really great. First, they're trying to get these phones to be inexpensive smartphones for communities without the financials to afford higher end phones like most of us are used to. Second, the fact that virtually the entire user interface and all third party apps are crafted in HTML5 is absolutely cool. My HTML5 mobile apps run better on my lowend Firefox OS device than they do my iPhone 4s and Nexus 7. Firefox and Microsoft are now pushing HTML5 in the mobile sphere and I think it's great and hope that Apple and Google eventually follow.
^ I also saw the Ubuntu booth at the MWC and I've run Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 7. It has potential but it still needs a lot of work in my opinion :P
