Must be a mix of both
It always starts off being based on looks alone when you haven't even met and if they are fairly attractive then you're gonna go and talk to them. But then if you don't get along or have like NOTHING in common then that's not gonna work either.
Would say looks but i'm ugly myself :( and no one would date me for looks so i'll go with personality lol
i would say personality cause ive fancied people who aren't good looking lol n if i go for a guy who i think is hot, most my friends won't think he's good looking cause we all have diff tastes, so if i did go for looks then it wouldn't necessarily be 'good' looking

I don't usually give girls who I don't find attractive a chance, by chance I mean like, I won't express emotions of romance or lust towards them. For example, if I meet a girl I don't find attractive I will start talking to them more confidently and revealing of my flaws, I think of them as more of a guy. I like meeting girls I don't find attractive because usually you'll both have a mutual friendship over time knowing you can use each other to meet people, wing each other and it's nice knowing people you see out that might not be part of your usual crowd
However, if I meet a girl I find attractive I'm a lot less confident, I try to show the best parts of me and I will express emotions of interest towards them and they can pick up on it. These are the girls I would be happy to call my girlfriend if they turn out to have a personality I can clash with.
but I think looks is a very relative word, girls I've found attractive and girls my friends have found attractive have been different in the past, it depends on the person so I don't think theres always a certain look, so if you feel ugly, you might be attractive to someone else.
But in my own opinion, I wont want to be in a relationship with someone I didn't find attractive but personality can make or break a girl, so I think it's a bit of both but ultimately I would say looks>personality because you could give a toad the best personality in the world but they would still be a toad
for me its personality, 'cus generally i do normally have rly awful taste anyways. so u can be extremely hideous and ill fancy you anyway cus you are a nice person.
Personality counts more, but looks do count partially. Actually what counts is somebody who can stand my personality rlly ;///
i find looks have usually been most important for me, but person I fancy atm isn't really the best looking person in the world and I'm definitely more attracted to his personality for him (though he is still quite good looking)
I guess I go for personality and looks are a bonus.

I'm with @buttons; on this one, the people I go out with aren't your general good looking people. I'd say personality, but those who people actually find good looking aren't good looking to me if that makes sense. I'd rather go with someone who was sweet and probably more geeky than someone with a six pack. However, I think there are exceptions.
For example, when I began working I started with this boy and girl, the boy was rather attractive, but he was one of those who knew it. I did find him attractive before I knew he had a six pack and everything, and I still believed he was attractive after.
On the other hand, I don't like tattoos that much (but I'm warming to them), so I would probably find someone with one unattractive. Yet two people at work have them (that I've noticed) and the geekier one is much more attractive.
I might have just talked crap, but oh well!
TL;DR - personality more, but looks will come into it at some point; it's about your taste and type.
what i find is when i go for someone based on their looks, i'm usually not that compatible with them personality wise
but there are guys i meet who i don't initially think are good looking despite them probably being of average attractiveness and it's their personality over the time that draws me to them, and then it's just a bonus that i realise they're actually good looking to me
although i'll happily one night stand with a hotty with no personality no problem
oh and then to answer i could never date someone who had a great personality but that i had no physical attraction to
o i forgot to add, normally if i find someone isn't the best looking but i quite like their personality over time they begin to look way more attractive to me
personality but looks are quite important too, especially if you plan on dating and potentially seeing them everyday

Personality over looks I think. But in all seriousness, an equal mix of both.
Both are equally as important in my mind.
I couldn't have a sexual connection with someone I found ugly,
and I couldn't have an intimate, loving connection with someone who had a horrid personality.
If someone likes me it makes them 900% more attractive

Its down to personality, looks last for a brief moment. You could have someone that's 10/10 gorgeous but if they don't have a personality best believe that the person will get fed up of them. Looks don't last forever but someones personality makes a huge difference to your life.

You have to be physically attracted to them, but as previously said, if they have a personality like a slice of bread, well no chance.
Personality is huge, you have to be able to make eachother laugh, smile, and be able to get on well.. (lol)

personality hands down.. but I feel a woman must have some looks. I wouldn't go out with someone if she was the nicest person ever but an absolute dumpster fire (as Quagmire would say)

If you're talking about a personal relationship such a partners, then I would have to say a mixture of both.
I mean, you can be really attractive visually, but if you have a **** personality, it really kills it.
Subjectively, both would be nice. But Personality triumphs. If you have a ugly soul and are devoid of personality, it could not work for me. :(
I would say a mix of both, I feel that personality is key, someone that is nice and you can naturally talk to about anything but as long as your not butt ugly then sure why not. :)
